UGC NET 2018 Exam Pattern Change – Exam to be conducted online (CBT mode)

Changes in UGC NET Exam Pattern 2018 – National Testing Agency (NTA) has brought a change in the Exam pattern of UGC NET 2018 which is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Junior Research fellowship and Eligibility for assistant professor in various Indian Colleges and Universities. UGC NET will be conducted in an online mode (Computer Based Test) starting this year.
Before this the UGC NET was conducted in an offline mode i.e. pen and paper based. Students were required to present physically to give exam.
NTA will be conducting UGC NET twice a year— once between December 9 and 23, 2018, and the second time in July, 2019. The registration process for UGC NET 2018 December has already started on NTA official Website ntanet.nic.in.  The aspiring candidates can apply till September 30, 2018.
The application fee to apply for UCG NET 2018 December is

  • Rs. 1000/- For General
  • Rs. 500/- Fro OBC-NCL
  • Rs. 250/- For SC/ ST/ PwD/ Transgender

A Master’s degree or equivalent from a university recognized by UGC with at least 55% marks in aggregate is required (50% marks for reserved categories) to apply for UGC NET
The NTA will conduct the UGC-NET for only Assistant Professor or for both Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor between December 9th to 23rd, 2018
