CBSE launches pre-exam counselling helpline, to remain active till April 17
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a pre-examination counselling helpline to assist students get rid of exam related stress and other similar worries.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a pre-examination counselling helpline with the vision of helping students get rid of all their exam related stress and worries for the next two and a half months.
The helpline will remain active till April 27, 2014. The exam-special arrangement has been equipped with different modes of communication, including telephonic counselling, online counselling (through CBSE website) and question-answer columns in newspapers. With the proper infrastructure in place, the Board hopes to extend its support to maximum examinees possible.
CBSE has announced that this year, a total of 59 principals, trained counsellors as well as a few psychologists will be providing assistance to students through tele-counselling. 49 of them are available in India, while 10 are located in Saudi Arabia, Nepal, UAE, Japan and Kuwait.
To avail this service, students can dial a toll free number: 1800 11 8004 from anywhere in India. Meanwhile, an NGO called Snehi is also opening its own pre-exam helpline (011-65418181) from March 3, 2014.
