CBSE Extends the date for Class 9th and 11th Registrations! Check the New Dates


Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the dates for class 9th and class 11th student registration. The online registration process for class 9th and class 11th was started on the official website of the board cbse.nic.in from October 1.  Earlier the last date of registration without late fee was October 22, but now it has been extended till October 30, 2018. The dates have been extended keeping in mind the holidays on account of Dussehra and ‘Titli’ cyclone.

All CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) affiliated schools should complete the process within the given schedule. In case, a school misses the deadline of October 30, they can still register with late fee of Rs. 1000 till November 12, with the late fee of Rs. 2000, from November 13 to November 20, and with late fee of Rs 5000 from November 21 to November 28 along with the initial registration fee of Rs. 150 for schools in India and Rs. 250 for class 9 students and Rs. 300 for class 11 student in a school abroad. Dates will not be extended further

All affiliated schools have to register themselves first before starting the registration.
On the other hand MHRD recently revised the affiliation norms for CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) schools and has introduced New Affiliation Bye Laws 2018.  
According to New Affiliation Bye Laws:

  • The affiliation process has been made simplified beginning with making it online to bring more transparency.
  • The inspection for infrastructure will be done by corresponding state authority and CBSE will inspect the school for quality of education and learning outcomes.
  • The affiliation will be valid for three years only even if not specifically mentioned in the grant letter.
