CBSE may or may not declare class 12 results on May 24. However, an official of CBSE had said the board would put up a notification a day in advance, which it has not so far done. While CBSE has not given an official date, multiple media reports as well as exam tracking website are on the look out.
Board officials had told publications the actual date will be put up by CBSE on its website (cbse.nic.in/cbseresults.nic.in) a day before. At the time of this writing, however, there was no notice on the websites.
CBSE results have been late after exams were delayed a bit due to the assembly polls held earlier this year. Although there is yet another source that says that the result will definitely be announced before the 27th May.
A day before the expected results, the Delhi High Court told the CBSE to follow its ‘moderation policy’ of giving grace marks to students for difficult questions. The court had termed the decision ‘unfair and irresponsible’ just one day before the results. Therefore one sees hype/uncertainty- one side of the coin the students under anxiety for results the other side the obdurate decision of CBSE with High Court Delhi verdict on CBSE.
The Union HRD Minister Prakash Javadekar, today said that that CBSE will continue to give grace marks. However, spiking of marks will not be permitted.
