Finally some relief for all those students who were waiting anxiously for the JEE (Main) ranking list. The CBSE on Tuesday night published the rank lists for JEE (Main) 2015 , thus kick starting the admission process in India’s top engineering colleges including the NITs, and IIITs.
The delay in the announcement of the rank list had resulted in the postponement of admission to all these institutes, creating panic in some students.
In a statement, CBSE which administers the JEE (Main), said: “The all India ranks of JEE main 2015 have been declared by CBSE and the data CD has been handed over to the central seat allocation board 2015 (NIT Patna) for counselling purpose.”
“The candidate may see their result on the https://www.jeemain.nic.in/ after 12 noon,” it added.
With the JEE Main 2015 ranking now officially declared, the process of allotment of seat to the candidates who successfully qualified JEE (Main) 2015 will begin. This year, the seat allotment process will be facilitated by NIT Patna.
Earlier, the proposal of joint seat allotment process for admission to the IITs and the NITs had to postponed on two separate occasions, creating confusion and in some cases, panic among the more than 11 lakh students who had been declared eligible for counseling to 85 technical institutes including 18 NITs and 31 NITs.
Based on the guidelines from the Joint Seat Allocation Authority 2015, registration as well as online filling in of candidates’ choices can commence within two to three hours of declaration of the rank lists.
“The announcement of the all-India ranks was delayed due to failure of six-seven school board to furnish the particulars and weightage of the individual students. Although they were asked to submit the details by June 25, they could not do so which led to the delay in releasing the ranking list,” officials in CBSE said earlier this evening.
