The Central Teacher Eligibility Test results have been announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The CTET examination had been conducted in September, 2014.
As per the information released by CBSE only 11.95 per cent of those who had appeared for paper 1 of the test have cleared it while 2.8 per cent of those who wrote paper 2 passed. Candidates can visit www.cbse.nic.in or www.ctet.nic.in to view their results.
As many as 2.8 lakh candidates had appeared for paper 1 of the CTET. Clearing paper 1 is mandatory to become a teacher in classes from 1 to 5 under the Right to Education Act 2009. Around 4.59 lakh candidates sat for paper 2 of the test. Clearing paper 2 is a must in order to teach classes from 6 to 8.
The test was conducted at 962 centres across the country along with two overseas centres on September 21, 2014.
