Upper Age Limit for NEET (UG)- 2019 removed. Application Form is being modified .
The last date for filling online application form has been extended from 30.11.2018 to 07.12.2018 and fee payment from 01.12.2018 to 08.12.2018
Candidates above 25 years allowed appear for NEET UG 2019 – Here is good news for Medical aspirants. Supreme Court has allowed the candidates above the age of 25 years to appear in the NEET UG 2019 exam. The apex court also specified that the candidature of such students will be subject to the final outcome of the case on validity of CBSE’s decision to fix upper age limit.
NTA has released the official NEET UG 2019 notification on November 1. In the notification, it is specified that the upper age limit for students as 25 years as on the date of the examination which means any student above the age of 25 on May 5, 2019 is not eligible for the NEET UG 2019 exam. However, with the current SC directive such students whose age is above 25 years can apply for the exam with the condition that their eligibility status will be subject to the final decision on the case.
The application process for NEET UG 2019 which began on November 1, and was supposed to end on November 30, 2018, Supreme Court has directed NTA, the conducting body for NEET UG 2019 to extend the last date for application process to allow such students to apply for the exam.
Candidates will be able to apply for the NEET UG 2019 exam through online mode only at NTA NEET website (www.ntaneet.nic.in).
NEET UG 2019 exam is scheduled to be held on May 5, 2019 in a single session. The exam will be conducted in offline mode (Pen and paper based).
