The application process for GATE 2015 started on September 01, 2014 and will continue till October 01, 2014. All the interested candidates need to apply online through the zonal GATE websites of IISc or any of the seven IITs.
The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination that primarily tests a comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs; IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee. The score is used for admissions to post-graduate engineering programmes (i.e. M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D) in Indian higher education institutes.
The form will require personal information; name, date of birth, your personal mobile number, parent’s name, parent’s mobile number etc. Address for communication and eligibility degree details also need to be filled along with the GATE paper and choice of GATE Examination Cities. A high quality image of your photograph conforming to the requirements specified along with a good quality image of your signature conforming to the requirements specified will be required. Scanned copy of Degree Certificate or Certificate from Principal/HODs in pdf format along with details of a valid ID Proof will be required while filling of the form.

NOTE: The GATE 2015 score will be valid for a period of three years from the date of announcement of results. All the papers in GATE 2015 will be held in online mode only and few of the exams will be conducted in multiple sessions.
