The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to hold EAMCET, ECET and all other entrance examinations online from next year. The intermediate and SSC examinations will also be held online from the next academic year. The state government has also directed the higher education department to select agencies which can develop the required software for conducting the online entrance tests.
Some tests that will not be held online include the Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET), Education Common Entrance Test (EDCET), Physical Education Common Entrance Test (PECET), Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET), Law Common Entrance Test (LAWCET), Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test (PGLCET).
The Medical aspirants in the state will have to appear for NEET-UG for admission to MBBS and BDS courses. The Andhra Pradesh government has set aside a budget of Rs. 190 crore in order to improve the infrastructure of all the universities and improve the standard of education in universities in the state.
