All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Test (AIPMT) is scheduled to be held in 1st week of May 2016. AIPMT 2016 will have similar pattern of examination as in 2015. There will be no change in the pattern of exam for 2016.
In an official meeting of CBSE & MCI representatives, the proposal for AIPMT in two stages i.e. Preliminary & Mains type was put forward to control prevalence of cheating or paper leakage in the exam. But the members said two-stage pattern would further complicate the whole process. In case, there is any cheating or paper leakage, then conducting re-exam in two stages will not be possible.
Moreover, there is less time to implement two-stage pattern from 2016 as it requires approval from competent authorities.
Now, there will be No NEET in 2016 since MCI is showing much interest in conducting Common entrance test for admission to medical courses. A major obstacle in conducting Common entrance test is the law, and Private Medical College & State Medical College have right to admit students according to their merit list.
