The details regarding admission procedure and other important aspects of the forthcoming admission session for Post Graduate courses in Armed Forces Medical Services have been announced.
AFMC PG Medical 2014 Admission Procedure announced. The eligibility for admission will be determined on the basis of candidates’ performance on All India Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination 2014 (AIPGMEE – 2014) in addition to certain other pre-specified criterias.
Selected candidates will be allowed to join Post Graduate courses conducted by the Armed Forces Medical Services for providing the armed forces of the country with the best medical personnels.
Admission to PG programs AFMS institution is provisional subject to ratification/confirmation by the Office of the Director General AFMS and University concerned. All selected candidates will be required to provide additional certificates/documents as per the specific requirements of the university/institute. Candidates are advised to ascertain all applicable rules from the Dean Academics of the Institutions.
The Decision of Commandant of the college with regard to admission of candidates will be final and binding. Candidates willing to have their shot at the AIPGMEE – 2014 are recommended to preserve their Admit Cards alongside the AFMS Candidate ID issued till the allotment of seats and admission to the institute.
All civilian candidates must go through a medical exam. The medical standards required for such candidates are the same that has been traditionally in place for the selection of commissioned officers in AFMS. Admission will be offered to civilian doctors only after they are found physically and medically fit by a designated Medical Board.
Those who are found unfit by the Medical Board, shall not be eligible for admission into the college even if he had been allotted a subject in the counselling session held online. It is worth noting that even those candidates who were called to the AFMS for admission procedure, may lose their candidacy upon being declared unfit by the Medical Board. There shall be no provision of review/appeal for all those candidates who are found medically unfit.

Last date for deposit of Bank challan form at SBI: Dec 24 2013 (23:59 hrs)
Merit List (Priority wise): One month after the results are declared by NBE Online counselling: March – May (Priority wise)
The merit list shall be prepared on the basis of ranking allotted to them by the NBSE. Names of those who qualify in and their order of merit for the AIPGMEE – ‘14 shall be made available in the DGAFMS website. Candidates are required to login to the site with their user-id.
