NFSC B. E. Admission 2018 – National Fire Service College (NFSC), Nagpur invites applications for eligibility for admission to the first year of full time Degree Course in B.E. (Fire Engineering) for the academic year 2018-19

NFSC Nagpur

  • It was founded in 1956 and in 1978 started running a three and half year B E (Fire Engineering) course post B.Sc. This is the only institution under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, offering B.E. Degree in (Fire Engineering) and is Residential Course.

No. of Seats

  • The number of seats is 60. These seats are available for allotment through Admission rounds, on the basis of All India Rank given by CBSE for JEE (Main) 2018 (Paper-I) to the eligible candidates

TFWS Seats

  • Maximum 5% seats of sanctioned intake per course are available for admissions as per directives from the Central Govt. These seats shall be supernumerary in nature and to be filled through admission process conducted by Competent Authority only

Intake BE (Fire Engineering) Course

  • The NFSC has an approved intake of 60 seats granted by The All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi


Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidate desirous of applying for B.E. (Fire Engineering) course for the academic year 2018-19 becomes eligible by possessing all the three qualifications mentioned below
  • Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the HSC (Std.XII) exam of any State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent exam with subjects English, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology /Biology/ Technical Vocational subject AND Secured minimum 50 %marks (minimum 45% marks, in case of SC/ST categories) in the subjects Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subject added together AND
  • Obtained All India Rank in JEE (Main) 2018 CRL Rank (Paper-I) given by CBSE. For students hailing from States other than Maharashtra State, this criterion will be governed by rules of Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State
  • The candidate belonging to this type are however required to appear for the JEE (Main) 2018 CRL Rank

Physical Standard:

For Male

  • Minimum Height: 165 cms. Only (Relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garhwalls, Assamese Gorkha and member of the Schedule tribes)
  • Chest: 81 Cms. Only Unexpanded & 86 Cms. Only and Expanded (Fully expanded with minimum of 5 cms. Only Expansion) Weight: Min. 50 kgs

For Female

  • Minimum Height: 157 Cms. (Relaxable by 2.5 cms in the case of Garhwalls, Assamese Gorkha and member of the Scheduled tribes) Weight: 46 kgs.

Medical Standard

  • Both for Male and Female
  • Visual: better eye – 6/6 without aid (Eligible vision – 6/6 only); Worse Eye – 6/12; Colour Vision:No colour blindness
  • Candidate must not have knock-knee, flat foot, squint eyes and stammering. They must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any physical defect


  • All the reservations given below shall be applicable to candidate’s subject to the fulfillment of the eligibility criteria specified by respective authorities from time to time
  • Scheduled Castes and Schedule caste converts to Buddhism (SC) – 15.00%
  • Schedule Tribes (ST) – 7 ½ %
  • Other Backward Classes – 27.00%


Application Form

  • Filling of Online Application Form for Admission to B E (Fire Engineering) by eligible candidates from NFSC Website www.nfscnagpur.nic.in. All the documents that are required to be uploaded by the candidate are required to be self-attested by the candidate
  • Submission of Application form Online along with the enclosures XII marksheet, Caste Certificate wherever required and also the scanned copy of demand draft for Rs. 500/- (300/- for SC/ST) as application fee for Admission Process on or before 23:59 hrs. of 8th July 2018
  • Send the hard copy of all the documents (self-attested) along with original Demand Draft and clearly mentioning on the top of envelop the Registration Number received at the time of filling online admission form and also super scribed with “APPLICATION FOR B.E. (Fire Engineering) 2018-19” to “The Director National Fire Service College, Takli Feeder Road, Rajnagar, Nagpur-440030,” So as to reach NFSC, Nagpur on or before 16th July 2018
