IGNCA Delhi PG Diploma Admission 2018 – Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) New Delhi invites application for admission to Post Graduate Diploma Courses for the academic year 2018-19

IGNCA New Delhi

  • Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India set up IGNCA in the year 1987 to explore, study and disseminate Indian arts, revive the dialogue between India and her neighbours, especially in South and Southeast Asia, in the areas pertaining to the arts
  • Arts encompasses a wide area of studies, such as creative literature – written and oral; visual arts – architecture, sculpture, painting, graphics, and general material culture; photography and films; the performing arts – music, dance and theatre; festivals with artistic dimension

  • Advertisement for admissions:23rd May 2018
  • Last date of receiving application:30th June 2018
  • Counselling for admissions: 15th July to 17th July 2018
  • Notification about the admission ofCandidates:20th July 2018
  • Last date of paying the fees: 30th July 2018
  • Commencement of Course Semester- I: 01st August 2018
  • Semester-I Exam: December 2018
  • Commencement of Course Semester- II: January 2019
  • Semester-II Exam: May/June 2019

One Year (Two Semesters Part-time) Courses

  • Post Graduate Diploma in Cultural Informatics (PGDCI) – Part Time – 25 Seats
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Preventive Conservation (PGDPC) – Part Time – 25 Seats
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Buddhist Studies (PGDBS) – Part Time – 25 Seats
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Manuscript ology & Palaeography(PGDMP) – Part Time – 25 Seats
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Digital Library &Data Mgt. (PGDDLDM) – Full Time – 25 Seats

 

Eligibility Criteria

  • PGDCI– Graduation in any subject
  • PGDPC– Preventive Conservation: Graduation with History/Science
  • PGDBS– Graduation in any subject
  • PGDDLDM– Bachelor in Library and Information Science or equivalent from any recognized universities or graduate or post graduate level course in museum/library/archives/reprography
  • PGDMP– Masters in any subject (with pre-requisite knowledge of Sanskrit)

Fee Details

  • PGDCI –Rs.20000/- fee per Semester
  • PGDPC – Preventive Conservation: Graduation with History/Science Rs.20000/- fee per Semester
  • PGDBS – Graduation in any subject Rs.6000/- fee per Semester
  • PGDDLDM – Bachelor in Library and Information Science or equivalent from any recognized universities or graduate or post graduate level course in museum/library/archives/reprography Rs.60000/- fee per Semester
  • PGDMP – Masters in any subject (with pre-requisite knowledge of Sanskrit) Rs.6000/- fee per Semester

  • Candidates are advised to bring the following documents at the time of their interview for admission
  • Original Adhaar Card/ or Passport for verification; (b) Two passport size colour photographs; (c) Copies of the educational qualifications and working experience as mentioned above; (d) Copy of this application form, duly filled in (already emailed/ or sent by the candidate to IGNCA)
