Goa University announces Goa University Admissions Ranking Test GUART for PG Program Admission 2020

Goa University PG Courses Admission 2020 Goa University invites online application for admission to PG Programs at Goa University and affiliated colleges for the academic year 2020-21. Goa University (GU) has released the application form for Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) on the official website unigoa.ac.in. The first round of GUART will be conducted on 05th January 2020

Admission to the Post Graduate Programs at Goa University and affiliated colleges for the academic year 2020-21 shall be entirely based on the Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART).

  • Based on the GU-ART School/Departments on University Campus and affiliated colleges have admitted selected candidates as per the ranking for various Programmes. After verifying Provisional selection lists, it is observed that some School/Departments and Affiliated Colleges still have some vacant seats.

Eligibility Criteria for Goa University PG Courses Admission 2020

  • To apply for GU-ART 2020, a candidate first needs to fill an ‘’Eligibility form’’, this form should be submitted to the Assistant Registrar of the University, this form will only ensure the eligibility of a candidate, not the admission. Following is the eligibility criteria for PG admissions in the GU-ART 2020
  • The candidate must be a Graduate in the respective courses
  • The candidates in the last year of their Graduation can also apply for course, issuing a provisional certificate.

For B.Ed Program

  • GU-Art 2020 will also have a B.Ed program under its scheme. However, only the candidates of Goan domicile can apply for this course. Also, only Post Graduates are eligible to apply for the higher secondary school subjects/subject pedagogic of Commerce/Political Science/Economics Sociology/Psychology.


Selection Procedure

  • The GU-ART 2020 Admissions will be conducted for the eligible candidates on the basis of their performance in the GU-ART 2020 Entrance examination. Following is the complete Admission procedure-
  • After the Round I results, there will be an allotment of the as per the GU-ART 2019 performances.
  • Afterwards, there shall II/IV be a Counselling session to confirm the candidate’s choice in terms of the course
  • If the seats are still empty after the first round, subsequent rounds will be held to fill those seats, if the seats of the reserved category remain empty after the first round, they will be shifted to the General Category.


GU ART 2020 Exam Pattern

  • GU-ART will have objective type of questionnaire which will contain 100 marks. Following are the details
  • Total questions – There will be 50 questions in the exams, of 2 marks each
  • Negative Marking – For each wrong answer, ½ of a mark will be deducted
  • Duration – The duration of the exam will be 90 minutes
  • Sections – The examination will be divided into three sections-
  • Section I-Least Difficult – 15 Questions
  • Section II-Difficult – 15 Questions
  • Section III-Most Difficult – 20 Questions

Admit Card

  • The GU-ART 2020 Admit Card will available to download on the website. A student must take a print-out of the Admit Card as it must be shown during the day of the exam
  • A candidate will not be allowed to take the exam without the Admit Card so the candidates must download their admit card

  • M.A./ M.Com / M.Sc. (Mathematics) – Rs. 6,205/-
  • M.Sc. (Other than Mathematics & Electronics) – Rs. 12,390/-
  • M.Sc. (Electronics) – RS. 16,230/-
  • M.Sc. (Biochemistry) – Rs. 88,200/-
  • M.L.I.Sc. – Rs.26,790/-

Goa University PG Courses Admission 2020 Application Process

  • Application for Admission to various Postgraduate Programmes at Goa University and its Affiliated Colleges for the academic year 2020-21
  • Application process is through online mode only. Interested candidates may visit Goa University website www.unigoa.ac.in
  • GU-ART has released the application form on the official website. Candidates are advised in their own interest to apply online much before the closing dates. No offline mode or any other than online mode of application form will be accepted by the university.
  • Candidates have to provide the valid details, have to upload the scanned images of photograph, signature & documents and have to pay the application fee.

Application Fee

  • General Category Except MCA & MBA (FS) – Rs. 600/-
  • SC/ST category [Except MCA & MBA (FS)] – Rs. 300/-
  • General Category (for MBA/MCA) – Rs.1000/-
  • SC/ST category for MCA & MBA (FS) – Rs. 500/-
  • Differently Abled candidates – NIL
