UNESCO/People's Republic of China (The Great Wall) Co-Sponsored Fellowships Program for Sept 2016 and June 2017 session

UNESCO/People's Republic of China (The Great Wall) fellowship programme is co-sponsored by UNESCO for the academic year of 2016-17.

About UNESCO/People's Republic of China (The Great Wall) Fellowship

The Govt. of the People's Republic of China has placed at the disposal of UNESCO for the academic year 2016-17, under the co-sponsorship of UNESCO, seventy-five (75) fellowships for advanced studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

UNESCO/People's Republic of China Scholarship is a one-year program mostly to be conducted in English. However, in some exceptional cases, candidates may be required to study Chinese Langauge before taking up research/study in their fields of interest.

The list of member states invited to submit candidatures under UNESCO/People's Republic of China (The Great Wall) co-sponsored Fellowship Program are as fellows:

Africa - 46 Member States

Asia & the Pacific - 38 Member States

Arab States - 13 Member States

Latin America and the Caribean - 26 Member States

Europe and North America - 12 Member States


Candidates must hold at least the Bachelor's Degree or the equivalent of the Master Degree / above when applying. The candidates must have English proficiency; the candidates must be in good health, both physically and mentally

Nationality: Citizens of developing countries can apply for these scholarships

Please visit the official web page of China Scholarship Council (CSC) for the fields of proposed studies at the selected Chinese Universities www.csc.edu.cn

Complete the online application procedure of the Chinese Scholarship Council online application for international students at http://www.csc.edu.cn/laihua/noticeen.html, (Agency number 00001), also download, complete the application form on the top of the right column of this page, and send it to UNESCO (both applications if possible)

The letter of admission in a Chinese University is not mandatory
