Mother Teresa Scholarship 2018 for Nursing Diploma and Paramedical Studies

MTS Mother Teresa Scholarship – Applications have been invited by the Minority Welfare Department, Government of Kerala, for the award of Mother Teresa Scholarship for Nursing Diploma/Paramedical Studies for year 2018-19

  • Those applications which have been verified and approved online should reach, ‘Director, Directorate of Minority Welfare, 4th Floor, Vikas Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram-695033’, latest by 29th September 2018

Eligible Candidates for MTS 2018

  • Applicant should be studying for the Nursing Diploma/Paramedical Courses in Govt./Government Aided institutions. Those admitted against merit seats in Self-financing Colleges are also eligible to apply. Applicant should permanently residing in Kerala and should be belong to the one of Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Budha, Parsi, Jain communities, and to Below Poverty Line (BPL) family
  • In the absence of students of minority community students of BPL categories, minority students belonging to Non-Creamy layer, from Minority Communities will be considered for the Scholarship

Scholarship Amount

  • The amount of Scholarship is Rs.15000/-. Selection of students will be based on the family income. Scholarships will be distributed to the Muslim students and students of other minority communities in the ratio 80:20. Of the total scholarships, 50% would be reserved for girls.

 

Application Form

  • Applications can be submitted online at www.minoritywelfare.kerala.gov.in latest by 22nd September 2018
  • Applicant should click at the link, ‘Scholarship’ and then, ‘Mother Theresa Scholarship (MTS) at the website and click on ‘Apply Online’ link. Those who have already applied for any scholarship at this link earlier may go to the Candidate login link,
  • After applying online, applicant should login using the User-id and password obtained and the Photo, signature and Certificates uploaded
  • Applicant should view the filled application and take the printout of the same
  • The printout, with the documents specified should be submitted to the Head of the Institution latest by 22nd September 2018

Documents Include

  • The documents include (i) Registration printout with photo affixed (ii) Copy of mark list of SSLC/Plus 2/VHSE (iii) Copy of allotment memo (iv) first page of Pass Book of the Bank account in the name of applicant, showing the name of applicant, account number, branch code, branch address etc (v)Copy of the Aadhar/NPR Card (vi) Copy of Nativity Certificate (vii) Copy of Community Certificate/minority Certificate (viii) Income certificate in original from Village Office (ix) Non-creamy layer Certificate (x) Copy of Ration Card
  • The documents submitted by the applicant should be verified online by the head of the institution or the person authorized for that by the head of the institution
  • Those applications, that can be accepted has to be approved latest by 29th September 2018
  • Those applications which have been verified and approved online should reach, ‘Director, Directorate of Minority Welfare, 4th Floor, Vikas Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram-695033’, latest by 29th September 2018
