JBNSTS Scholarship 2021 – Department of Science & Technology and Biotechnology, Government of West Bengal invites applications for JUNIOR TALENT SEARCH TEST (JTST) & SENIOR TALENT SEARCH TEST (STST ) for awarding Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) Scholarships 2021 in the field of Basic Science (Hons), Engineering and Medicine for the students of West Bengal.
JBNSTS Scholarship 2021 Important Dates
- Application (online & offline): 01st September 2021 to 20th October 2021
- Date of Written Examination: 21st November 2021 (Sunday)
Eligibility Criteria for JBNSTS Scholarship 2021
- Junior Talent Search Test: For the students who have passed 10th std. Board Exam in 2021 with at least 75 % marks/ equivalent CGPA in aggregate and currently studying Science in Class XI in any institution in West Bengal.
- Junior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti: Only for girl students, this scheme is being implemented from this year. Girl students who have passed 10th std. Board Exam in 2021 with at least 75 % marks/ equivalent CGPA in aggregate and currently studying Science in Class XI in any institution in West Bengal. Selection will be made through Junior Talent Search Test.
- Senior Talent Search Test: For the students who have passed the 12th board exam in 2021 and are aspiring to study Basic Science (Hons.) / BS-MS (Integrated)/ Engineering/ Medicine in any institution in West Bengal. Special Attraction: Apart from the scholarship, top 10 girls and top 10 boys will be awarded with Laptop.
- Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti: Only for girl students, who have passed 12th board exam in 2021 and aspiring to study Basic Science (Hons.)/ BS-MS (Integrated)/ Engineering/ Medicine in any institution in West Bengal. Selection will be made through the Senior Talent Search Test.
Scholarship Offered
- For Junior Scholars: Rs. 1250/- per month for two years. & Rs.2500/- Annual Book Grant for two years
- For Junior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti: Rs.1250/- per month and annual Book grant of Rs. 2500/- for 2 years
- For Senior Scholars: Rs. 4000/- per month & Annual Book Grant: Rs. 5000/- for 4/5 years
- For Senior Bigyani Kanya Medha Britti: Rs.4000/- per month and annual Book grant of Rs. 5000/- for four/ five years

- Downloadable Forms are Available at www.jbnsts.org or may be obtained by sending self-addressed stamped (Rs.10/-) envelope to JBNSTS, 1300 Rajdanga Main Road, Kolkata-700107 (West Bengal)
- For hard copy application, please clearly mention either JTST or STST (as applicable) on the top of the envelope
- Read the form carefully before filling up. Incomplete applications will be rejected. Candidate may apply online also through our website www.jbnsts.org
