U.P. Combined Medical Entrance Test MBBS 2016 Admission

UPCMET-2016 [MBBS Course (1st Year)] for the Session 2016-17

Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test UPCMET-2016 will be organised by U.P. Unaided Medical Colleges Welfare Association for admission in MBBS course for the Academic Session 2016-17 in Unaided Minority as well as Non-Minority Member Medical Colleges of Uttar Pradesh

UPUMCWA is conducting UPCMET-2016 for admission in MBBS (First Year 2016-17) for and on behalf of member colleges in compliance with order of Hon’ble Apex court and Hon'ble Allahabad High Court Lucknow Bench vide

Admission will be done as per the merit list prepared in the manner mentioned in this brochure on the basis of marks secured in the above UPCMET-2016

Important Dates

Sale, Online Submission, Download of Application Form Starts from: 20th October 2015

Last Date of Submission of duly Completed Application Form: 11th May 2016

Date of Entrance Exam: 30th May 2016 (Monday, time: 09.00 am to 12.15 pm)

Date of Result Declaration: By Second Week of June 2016

Counselling: After 15 July 2016

UPCMET 2016 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed 10+2 level exam of UP Board/ISC/CBSE or its equivalent from any recognised board/university with English as a subject, securing minimum 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) marks on average in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (including practical exam) taken together

Candidates appearing in 10+2 exam of 2015 are also eligible to appear in entrance test but at the time of counseling they have to produce the passing marksheet of 10+2 examination, failing which no allotment of seats will be made

Age Limit: To appear in the entrance examination candidate should have completed 17 years as on 31st December 2016

Nationality: Admission is open to all citizen of India

UPCMET 2016 Exam Pattern

The detailed exam pattern for UPCMET 2016 (conducted for admission to MBBS programs in Medical Colleges which are members of the UPUMCWA):

The exam has two papers with five total subjects. Paper I has a total of 100 marks and Paper II has 50 marks

Paper-I: Physical and Biological Sciences 09.00 am to 11.30 am. It will consist of Two Sections as under

Section-A: Physics (50 Questions) + Chemistry (50 Questions)

Section-B: Botany (50 Questions) + Zoology (50 Questions)

Paper-II: General English (Qualifying Paper) 11.45 am to 12.15 pm/General English (50 Questions)

Paper-I will be of 200 marks and Paper-II will be of 50 marks; but combined maximum marks for merit in UPCMET would be 200 i.e. Total marks of Paper-I; Paper-II will be of qualifying nature

There will be negative marks of 1/4 for each wrong answer

UPCMET 2016 Exam Centres

Exam Centres shall be in the following cities: Agra, Allahabad, Bareilly, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Ghaziabad, Barabanki, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Meerut, Muzzaffarnagar, New Delhi, Patna, Ranchi and Varanasi
Candidates will be allotted pre-defined exam centres for appearing in UPCMET-2016 as mentioned by them in the application form; however, the UPUMCWA reserves the right to change the exam centre due to unavoidable circumstances

Name of the Colleges & Seats

The test is conducted to create a merit list for admission to member colleges of UPUMCWA. The MBBS programs will begin in the academic session 2016. Member colleges are listed below, as of February, 2016. The numbers next to them indicate their total students' intake

iv) Mayo Institute of Medical Sciences - 150 seats

vi) Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Subharti Medical College, Meerut-50*, 100 seats
vii) Rama Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (Ghaziabad) - 150 seats
viii) Rama Medical College Hospital & Research Centre (Kanpur) - 100 seats
ix) Rohilkhand Medicla College, Bareilly - 50*, 100 seats
x) Saraswati Institute of Medical Sciences - 100 seats
xi) Sharda University School of Medical Sciences and Research - 100 seats
xii) Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, Bareilly - 100 seats

Admit Card

Admit cards will be available for download from the website www.upumcwa.org by 15th May 2016. Duplicate admit card will be issued one day before the scheduled exam date from 10.00 am to 03.00 pm at the exam centre opted by the students but not on the date of exam

The duly filled in application form (in case of download) or the confirmation page (in case of online submission) is to be sent through speed post the coordinator, First Floor, Anand Ashram Complex, Rampur Garden, Bareilly-243001 along with examination fee through demand draft of Rs.1000/- in favor of UPUMCWA payable at Bareilly

Information brochure and OMR application form can be obtained through post from the Coordinator UPCMET-2016, 01st Floor, Anand Ashram Complex, Rampur Garden, Bareilly-234001 by sending demand draft of Rs.1050/- in favor of UPUMCWA payable at Bareilly along with two self-addressed stickers Information brochure and OMR application form can be obtained in person from the cash counters of the participating member colleges on cash payment of Rs.1000/-

Candidates are advised to go through all instructions and also check list as printed on the side corner of the envelop containing application form before finally submitting the application form
