TMC Mumbai MSc Nursing Entrance Test 2017 Notification, Eligibility, Application, Selection Process and Important Dates

Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) Mumbai invites applications for MSc Nursing CET 2017. The admissions to M.Sc. Nursing will be made through TMC Mumbai MSc Nursing Common Entrance Test 2017, which will be held on 24th May 2017

Number of Seats: 10 Seats

Duration of the Course: M.Sc. Nursing Course is two years full time

TMC Mumbai MSc Nursing Eligibility Criteria

Only Indian Nationals can apply

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have B.Sc. Nursing/Post Basic Nursing/B.Sc. Nursing IGNOU/Any Recognized University with minimum 50% aggregate marks and registered with State Nursing Council

Work Experience: Candidates should have one year clinical experience is mandatory in a Hospital/ Nursing Institution/Community Health setting

TMC Mumbai MSc Nursing Application Procedure

Candidates can apply for TMC M.Sc. Common Entrance Test Online by visiting the official website i.e. www.tmc.gov.in

Application Forms are available online and free of cost. Application form can be downloaded from the website. All interested candidates having the eligibility criteria would be required to apply online only on website www.tmc.gov.in

Candidates are advised to print the application form on one side of the paper only

The Application must be accompanied with self-attested copies of all the mark sheets/certificates/ Degrees /registration certificates and other documents from 10th to B.Sc. Nursing. Candidates in service must apply through proper channel

Entrance Test Fee

The Demand Draft drawn in favour of "Tata Memorial Centre, Parel, Mumbai" of Rs.2000/- must accompany the form. It is also mandatory to submit online applications

The completed application form with all enclosures must reach the Office of the Director, Academics, Homi Bhabha Block Building, 13th Floor, Tata Memorial Hospital, Parel, Mumbai-400012 on or before 05th May 2017

TMC Mumbai MSc Nursing Important Dates

Last Date for Receipt of Completed Application Form in the office: 05th May 2017

Date of Written Exam: 24th May 2017

Date of Group Discussion & Viva: 25th May 2017

Date of Result of Tests will be displayed on website: 26th May 2017

Place of Exam: Exact venue will be stated on the provisional admit card and at our website

TMC Mumbai MSc Nursing CET Pattern

There will be MCQ (100 marks)  to be completed  in 100 minutes, Group discussion (30 marks) to be completed in 30 minutes and VIVA 20 marks; total marks 150

Candidates who are amongst the top - three times the number of seats available (minimum 50% marks) in the MCQ & Group discussion will be called for the Viva

Final merit list will be based on the total scores obtained out of a maximum of 150 marks; which will be derived by adding 130 marks (MCQ & Group discussion) and 20 marks (Viva)

Oncology Nursing - 30 marks, General Nursing - 20 marks, General English - 15 marks, Maths - 15 marks and General knowledge - 20 marks

The Viva shall be conducted using a structured format (Refer Annexure-I). There will be minimum of five examiners out of which one will be an External Examiner

TMC Mumbai MSc Nursing Selection Procedure

The candidates will be selected for admission strictly based on the marks obtained in the Common Entrance Test, Group discussion and Viva

In case of equal cut-off marks in the CET, (MCQ & GD) all the candidates with the same marks shall be shortlisted for the Viva. In case of equal marks in the final total the candidate with maximum experience in Oncology will be preferred and in the event of tie again, then maximum CET (MCQ & GD) marks will be considered

Final merit list will be declared & posted on the TMH website http://tmc.gov.in
