PIMS Ahmednagar Admission to MBBS and BDS Courses for the Academic Year 2016-17

Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Ahmednagar has invited applications for admissions into the Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) Programmes in its constituent colleges for the academic year 2016-17.

Admission to MBBS/BDS

Admission to Undergraduate Courses in Medicine (MBBS) and Dentistry (BDS) for academic year 2016-17 in Constituent Colleges of Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences (Deemed University) will be done on the basis of marks obtained in the AIPMT-2016/NEET- I which was conducted on 01st May 2016 / National Eligibility- Cum- Entrance Test-II (UG) 2016 conducted on 24th Jul 2016

The merit list of the candidates who have applied to the PIMS-(DU) will be prepared based on All India rank obtained in AIPMT-2016/NEET-I or NEET-II

Intake Capacity and Duration of Courses

The intake capacity and duration of courses as approved by the respective councils is given

i. Rural Medical College (MBBS) - 170 Seats; Duration: 4 & 1/2 Years plus One year Internship

ii. Rural Dental College (BDS) - 85 Seats; Duration: 4 Years plus One year Internship

The respective Colleges are recognized by UGC (University Grants Commission) / MCI (Medical Council of India) /DCI (Dental Council of India) for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Courses

Eligibility and Qualifications for PIMS MBBS BDS admission 2016

Candidate must be an Indian National. The Nationality Certificate issued by the District Magistrate/Additional District Magistrate/ Chief Metropolitan Magistrate or a valid passport will be considered as a proof of Nationality

The candidate must be born on or before 31st December 1999

Candidate must have passed any of the qualifying examinations as enumerated below. The Higher/Senior Secondary Exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to (10+2) Higher/Senior Secondary Exam which is conducted after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English as a core course (or);

The Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and also English as compulsory subject (or);

The first year of the three years degree course of a University recognized by University UGC with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects, provided the exam is a University Exam and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English (or);

B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University recognized by University UGC, provided that he/she has passed B.Sc. Exam with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English

Candidates belonging to general category who secure minimum of marks at 50% i.e. in AIPMT-2016/NEET-I or NEET-II and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses

Candidates belonging to backward classes (SC/ST/NT & OBC) who secure minimum of marks at 40% in AIPMT-2016/NEET-I or NEET-II and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses


Selection Process for PIMS MBBS BDS admission 2016

Candidates belonging to general category who secure minimum of marks at 50% in AIPMT-2016/NEET-I or NEET-II and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses

Candidates belonging to backward classes (SC/ST/NT & OBC) who secure minimum of marks at 40% in AIPMT-2016/NEET-I or NEET-II and satisfy the eligibility norms laid down by respective councils will be eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS Courses

The admission to MBBS/BDS Courses will be offered only on the basis of merit of candidates reported for counselling. There is no reservation for backward class (SC/ST/NT & OBC)

How to Apply for PIMS MBBS BDS admission 2016

Download prospectus and read it carefully to understand requirement for submission of online form

Go to the link Apply online fill in the online application form carefully. Upload image of photograph in JPEG format. Candidate belonging to backward class/Reserve category should upload Caste/Caste Verification Certificate

If candidate has qualified the qualifying examination (HSC/10+2) from international board, he/ she should upload AIU equivalence certificate

Make payment of processing fee (Rs.5000/-) through Debit/Credit card/e-challan/Net banking

If the candidate desired to pay processing fee through e-challan

The e-challan need to be printed and payment should be made in any nationalised banks. After the payment is made the candidate is required to upload e-challan copy to complete the online application submission process

Take printout of confirmation page. Please keep the confirmation page and copy of proof of processing fee deposited (if deposited through e-challan) for future reference

Incomplete applications will be rejected

The candidates are advised to submit only one application form. If a candidate submits more than one application form, his/ her both applications will be rejected

The candidates must note that after submission of the application form it cannot be withdrawn. Claims for refund of processing fee will not be entertained

The candidates must note that the complaints regarding double payment of fees or any other issue related to fee will be entertained after 30th September 2016
