MGM CET Nursing for B.Sc and M.Sc Nursing admission 2016

MGM Institute of Health Sciences offered admissions for various Undergraduate and Postgraduate Nursing Programs through a Common Entrance Test (CET) for applicants for the academic year 2016-17 at Navi Mumbai and Aurangabad.

Undergraduate Courses

B.Sc Nursing (Duration: 4 years) - No. of Seats: 50

Post Basic B.Sc Nursing (Duration: 2 years) - No. of Seats: 30

Post Graduate Course

M.Sc Nursing (Medical Surgical Nursing) (Duration: 2 years) - No. of Seats: 10

Post Basic Diploma Program (One year)

Post Basic Diploma Program in Critical Care Nursing (20 Seats); Neonatal Nursing (20 Seats); Operation Room Nursing (20 Seats); Cardio Thoracic Nursing (20 Seats); Emergency & Disaster Nursing (20 Seats)

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Sc Nursing

Candidate should have passed in the subject of PCB & English Core/English Elective individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB in the qualifying exam i.e. (10+2) from recognized board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or equivalent Board.

Candidates passed 10+2 exam in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School with 45% marks. Relaxation of 5% marks is applicable for SC/ST candidates.

Candidate shall be medically fit.

The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission to be sought.

For Post Basic B.Sc Nursing

Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary or Senior Secondary or Intermediate or 10+2 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.

General Nursing and Midwifery and registered as RNRM with the State Nurses Registration Council.

Equivalency of foreign nursing qualification from Indian Nursing Council in case GNM from Foreign countries

Candidate shall be medically fit.

For M.Sc Nursing

Candidate should be a Registered Nurse & Registered midwife of equivalent with any State Nursing Registration Council

Minimum education requirements shall be the passing of B.Sc Nursing/B.Sc Hons Nursing /Post Basic B.Sc Nursing with minimum of 55% aggregate marks from an institution recognized by Indian Nursing Council

Minimum one year of work experience after Basic B.Sc. Nursing or Minimum one year of work experience prior or after Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, from a recognized hospital of minimum 100 bed’s capacity or a community health setup or a recognized nursing educational institution

Candidate shall be medically fit

For Post Basic Diploma Program

Be a registered nurse (R.N. & R. M.) or equivalent. Possess a minimum of one-year experience as a staff nurse. Nurses from other countries must obtain an equivalence certificate from INC before admission

Be physically fit

Exam Pattern for MGM-CET-(NURSING)

The detail addresses of examination centers with phone numbers will be available on website. The students are advised to visit our website www.mgmihs.com regularly for updated information pertaining to MGMCET-(Nursing)

The examination will be conducted in English

The syllabi of CET examination are based on the qualifying exams for respective course

Nature of the Exam shall be Objective and Multiple Choice Questions

There will be only one question paper having 100MCQ for 100 Marks

Results

The results of all the candidates who have appeared for MGM-CET (Nursing) will be displayed on the website of MGMIHS on the date declared as per schedule according to their seat nos

In case of any typographical error in the mark sheet e.g. Name. Age, Sex, Category etc. representation should be submitted within 24 hours, from the date of distribution of mark sheet by fax

Merit List

The merit list of the candidates will be prepared by the MGMIHS in accordance to the total marks obtained by them in the MGM-CET (Nursing) indicating their rank

Selection Process

Selection to a course/college will be made as per merit cum preference given by the candidate. Selection will be on the basis of merit and the preference form submitted by the candidate

Candidate shall have to appear personally and must produce original certificates at the time of admission and a set of attested photocopy of each of the document as per the list mentioned in the application form

Process for filling Vacant

The vacant seats if any will be filled as per merit list of MGM-CET- (Nursing) among the students who have not been selected in first round of counseling

The university authority will issue the notification, which will be displayed on the website of University indicating the dates of final round of counseling process if the seats remain vacant

Post Basic BSc Nursing - Rs.500/-

Medical Surgical, Community Health, Child Health, Midwifery and Obstetrical, Psychiatric Nursing - Rs.1000/-

Post Basic Diploma in Nursing - Rs.500/-
