Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Shimla announces Entrance Test for Admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Program 2020

HPU Shimla Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admission 2020 – Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) Shimla has invited application for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (2-years Degree Course) through an Entrance Test for the academic year 2020-21
The admission to this degree course will be made on the basis of merit in the Entrance Test to be conducted by the HPU on behalf of the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Entrance Test for Post Basic B.Sc Nursing will be held on 21st October 2020

  • Admission to 2 years Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course (Female Candidates only) in Govt. /Private Nursing Colleges/Institutions in Himachal Pradesh (Session 2020-21)
  • The Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course of 2 years is being introduced in Govt./ Private Nursing Colleges. This Degree Course is affiliated to H.P. University, Shimla and permitted on yearly basis by the Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi.

Eligibility Criteria for HPU Shimla Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Admission 2020
Only female candidates are eligible for HPU Post Basic B.Sc nursing 2020.
Qualification Candidates must have qualified 10+2 or any equivalent examination from the recognized board with at least 45% aggregate marks and 35% is the minimum for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
Marks Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in General Nursing & Midwifery.
Registration Candidates must have registered as a Nurse/Midwife (RN/RM) with the state of Himachal Pradesh Nurses Registration Council, Shimla at the time of counseling.
Eligibility for In-Service Quota Seats
  • In-service quota seats are to be filled by the in-service regularly appointed Nursing Cadre candidates of Govt. of H.P.
  • The candidates must have completed at least five (5) years of service on the last date of submission of application form.
  • Candidates should not have attained maximum 50 years of age as on 31st December, 2020.
Eligibility for Direct Quota Seats
The direct seats are for the candidate who belongs from any of the below-mentioned categories:
  • The Bonafide Himachali/Domicile candidates/Children of H.P. Govt. employees and employees of Autonomous Bodies wholly or partially financed by the Himachal Pradesh Government, who have done their GNM course from GNM Schools/Institutions anywhere in India duly recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/H.P. State Nurses Registration Council or,
  • Candidates must be GNM trained from the recognized Govt./Private GNM Schools/Institutions situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh.
  • The age of the candidate should be between 17 to 35 years as on 31 December, 2020

  • The Female Applicants may apply only online by using University Websites www.admissions.hpushimla.in & www.hpuniv.ac.in for admission to Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing Degree Course through Entrance Test
  • However, the Counselling–cum-Admission Form duly completed in all respects along with required self-attested photocopies of documents are to be submitted personally by the qualified candidates at the time of Counselling/admission
  • They are also required to produce original certificates/documents for verification at the time of Counseling along with counseling fee.

  • The candidates are required to download the Admit cards from the website by following the instructions/schedule given therein. The candidate may please note that Admit cards will not be sent by post.
