GRAU conducts Punjab Ayush Entrance Test PAET – 2017 for BAMS/BHMS/BUMS admissions 2017
Guru Ravidas Ayurved University (GRAU) conducts PAET Entrance Exam for taking admission to Bachelor of Homeopathic Medical Science (BHMS) and Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) Programs offered at various Govt. and Private Colleges affiliated to Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab for the academic year 2017
All necessary information regarding the taking of PAET-2017, allocation of merit and seeking admission to BAMS/BHMS courses in the various Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic colleges of Punjab affiliated to Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab and all applicable rules and regulations
All necessary information regarding the conduct of PAET-2017, preparation of merit and the process of seeking admission to BAMS/BHMS/BUMS Courses in the various Colleges of Punjab affiliated to Guru Ravidas Ayurved University Punjab and all applicable rules /regulations, etc, are contained in PAET-2017
Institutions & Seats
a) The institute shall also be put on the official web site of the Guru Ravidas Ayurvedic University, Hoshiarpur before July 30th of the year of exam
b) Govt. Institutions - State Quota 85%
NRI Quota 15% Private Institution - Govt. Quota 50% - Management Quota 50% (Including 15% NRI Quota)'
c) The seats are subject to decrease or increase as per CCIM/GOI directions
d) 15% seats shall be open to candidate who have studied 10+1/10+2 exams or equivalent exam
For PAET (Common Criteria for all Courses
i) The candidate should have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English or its equivalent exam and the qualifying exam as a candidate from a recognized institution/University before the time of counseling
The 10+2 or equivalent exam will be as per details given below:
a) The higher secondary exam or the Indian School Certificate Exam which is equivalent to 10+2 HSC after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology after the introduction of the 10+2+3 years education structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education; (or)
b) The intermediate exam in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examining body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject; (or)
c) The Pre-professional/pre-medical exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the Higher Sr. School Exam or the pre-university or an equivalent exam
d) The first year of the three year degree course of a recognised university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in these subjects provided the exam is a-University Exam and candidate has passed 10+2 with the English at a level not less than a core course; (or)
e) B.Sc. Exam of an Indian University, provided that the candidate has passed the B.Sc. Exam with not less than two of the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry & Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that the candidate has passed the earlier qualifying exam with the following subjects - Physics, Chemistry & Biology and English; (or)
ii) The candidate should have passed the 10+2 exams with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English or equivalent exams as a to during the Annual Exam held in March/April of the corresponding year, or earlier as a candidate from a recognised institution
Candidate must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31 December the corresponding year
Candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (40% for SC/BC) for BAMS and 40% marks (33% for SC/BC) for BHMS taken together in PCB and also in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) in 10+2 exam
If PAET qualified candidates are not available then out of the PAET appeared candidates shall be admitted on the basis of his/her marks in the PAET; if the PAET qualified PAET appeared candidates are not available both from the University and on open advert., then the candidates who have appeared in PAET shall be admitted on the basis of their score in 10+2 or equivalent exam
For admission to BAMS course, the candidate must have secured at least 40% (33% for SC/BC) in the PAET and for BHMS course, the candidate must have secured at least 33% marks in the test
Equal Marks in PAET-2017
In case of two or more candidates securing equal marks in PAET, their inter-se-merit will be determined as under:
(i) Firstly the candidate having higher percentage of aggregate marks at +2 levels in PCB calculated up to 3 decimal points; (ii) Then the candidate having higher marks in the subject of Biology in qualifying exam i.e. 10+2; (iii) Then the Candidate, older in age
Admission to Private Institutes
(a) The distribution of seats in private institutions would be: (i) Govt. Quota Seats - 50%; (ii) Management/Minority Quota Seats - 50% (including 15% NRI quota)
b) The Govt. quota seats would be filled up, on the basis of PAET merit, by the Admissions Committee appointed by the Govt.
Candidates will fill online Admission Application Form after declaration of PAET-2017 result available at University Website, within due date and time and get Printout of filled online Admission Application Form

Fee required with Online Application Form: Rs.4500/- for General Category (Rs.3000/- for SC categories only) be deposited online by using Debit Card or Credit Card through University website i.e. www.graupunjab.org by due date and time.
Fee once deposited in University account will not be refunded/ adjusted.
The University will provide the facility of downloading Admit Cards of PAET-2017. Candidates are required to download the admit cards from the website and follow the instructions given therein. Candidates may please note that admit cards will not be sent by the post
The admit cards will be available on university website from 03rd August 2017. Candidates must not mutilate the Admit card or change any entry made therein. Candidates are advised to preserve their Admit Cards in good condition till admission in BAMS/BHMS/BUMS is over

Last Date for Online Submission of Entrance Test Application Form: 31st July 2017

Date of conduct of PAET-2017: 20th August 2017 (time 11.00 am to 02.00 pm)
