Eligibility Criteria for CMC Vellore PG Nursing Admission 2021
For M.Sc. Degree in Nursing
- Passed the qualification of B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai or any other University accepted as equivalent thereto with minimum of 55% aggregate marks
- Registered with the State Registration Council for Nursing and Midwifery / alternate course approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery
- Male candidates who do not possess Midwifery registration certificate are not eligible to apply for M.Sc.(N)–Obstetrics and Gynaecological Nursing and Community Health Nursing, irrespective of experience in the area
- A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer
Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
- Passed Higher Secondary / Senior Secondary / Intermediate / 10 + 2 / or equivalent examination recognized by the University / 10 + 1 in or before the year 1986
- Passed the qualification of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course
- Permanent registration certificate with the State Registration Council for Nursing and Midwifery / alternate course approved by Indian Nursing Council for a similar duration in lieu of Midwifery in any one of the following areas
- O.T. Technique, (b) Ophthalmic Nursing, (c) Leprosy Nursing (d) TB Nursing (e) Psychiatric Nursing (f) Neurological and Neurosurgical Nursing (g) Community Health Nursing (h) Cancer Nursing (i) Orthopedic Nursing
- A certificate of Medical Fitness from an authorized Medical Officer
Post Basic Diploma in Nursing
- Passed the qualification of Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course / B.Sc. Nursing / B.Sc. (Honors) in Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing
- Permanent registration certificate from the State Nursing Council for Nursing and Midwifery or alternate course (applicable to male candidates)

Fellowship in Nursing

CMC Vellore PG Nursing Admission 2021 Application Process
- Application forms can be accessed online only through the Christian Medical College website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in from 16th March 2021
- Duly filled in application forms must be submitted online with the basic administrative fee and registration fee for each speciality for the course applied before 12 midnight on 31st May 2021
- Candidates must scan and keep a soft copy of his / her photograph and signature ready before filling the application form
- Specification for photograph: Recent passport size colour photograph taken after 1st January 2021, light background, JPEG format not exceeding 80 KB (Width – 150 pixels & Height –150 pixels). Specification for signature: Scanned signature JPEG format not exceeding 50 KB (Width – 150 pixels & Height – 50 pixels)
- Before applying online, ensure that there is personal active e-mail id and current personal mobile number which will be required for future communication

Selection Process
- Candidates who have applied for M.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic Diploma in Nursing /Fellowship in Nursing will appear for Step I Computer Based Test (CBT)
- The list of candidates shortlisted for Step II of the Selection process (Medical Checkup and Assessment of Knowledge and Clinical Skills / Personal Interviews) will be published in the website and also intimated to individuals by Email.
- Selection of candidates to any particular program is based on the performance in the Step I and Step II of the selection process.
- All such claims need to be supported by relevant supportive documents
Hall Ticket
- The Hall Ticket will be available at the Christian Medical College website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in
- The Hall Ticket can be downloaded and printed by using application number as ID and date of birth as password. The Hall Ticket needs to be checked for accuracy of its details. In case of non- availability of the hall ticket one week prior to the date of Step I of the selection process, the candidate must contact the Registrar, College of Nursing, by e-mail or telephone
Results
- Final Results will be published on the CMC Website http://admissions.cmcvellore.ac.in (refer calendar)
- All provisionally selected candidates who wish to accept the seat offered must give the acceptance in writing within the date and time stipulated. On failing to do so, the seat will be offered to the next candidate in the waitlist as per the admission policy
