University of Madras announces admission to Master of Law (M.L.) Degree course 2019

University of Madras Master of Law Admission 2019 - Department of Legal Studies, University of Madras, invites applications for admission to Master of Law (M.L.) Degree Course in various branches under private study (Non-semester) for the academic year 2019-20.

They should ensure that the should possess all the criteria as mentioned in the entrance brochure. Candidates who want to take admission in M.L. can read the eligibility criteria from below and fill the application form before the due date.

Madras University M.L. Admission 2019-20

  1. University is offering M.L. Degree Course in the following branches under private study (non-semester) for the academic year 2019-20 through English medium only in the Dept. of Legal Studies.

  1. Br-I - International Law and Constitutional Law
  2. Br-III - Criminal Law
  3. Br-V- Intellectual Property Law
  4. Br-VI - Human Rights and Environmental Law
  5. Br-VII - Labour and Administrative Law

  1. State Date for Online Registration: 22nd April 2019
  2. Last Date for Issue/Submission of Filled-in Application: 17th June 2019

Eligibility Criteria for University of Madras Master of Law Admission 2019

  1. A candidate who has passed in 3 year B.L/ L.L.B., or 5 years BL/ L.L.B from a recognized University under regular pattern of study i.e. (10+2+3+3) or (11+1+3+3) or (10+2+5)
  2. Eligibility for award of Degree: A candidate should complete the degree within five years from the academic year in which he /she registers for the course; candidate should each year attend the compulsory ten days personal contact program classes
  3. Only then he/she will be eligible for the I & II year examinations respectively
  4. Compulsory PCP classes will be conducted every year for a period of 10 days only at Chennai

 

University of Madras Master of Law Admission 2019 Application Process

  1. Applications can be had in person at the “Application Sales Counter” at the Chepauk Campus of the University on payment of cash Rs.200/- (Rs.100 for SC/ ST candidates on production of attested photocopy of the community certificate)
  2. Issue of Application by Post: Those who want to obtain application by post have to send a written requisition specifying the name of the programme together with a Demand Draft for a sum of Rs.250/- (Rs.200/- towards cost to Application and Rs.50/- towards postage) drawn in favour of "The Registrar, University of Madras, Chennai -600005"
