Govt. Law Colleges Law Entrance Test (LET) 2019 – Govt. Law Colleges, Jote Arunachal Pradesh invites application for admission to Bachelor’s of Law (LLB)  for the academic session 2019 through Law Entrance Test (LET) 2019.

 

About the College:

The Government Law College, Jote is a fully State Govt. owned institutions. The academic activities of the College will be starting from 2019-20 sessions. The College is affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University, Doimukh and approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. Govt. Law College, Jote is located at Jote village which is at a distance of around 19 kilometers from Itanagar, the Capital City of Arunachal Pradesh.

Govt. Law Colleges Law Entrance Test (LET) 2019 Important Dates

  • Date of start of submission of online Application Form LLB Programme: 21st June 2019
  • Last date of submission of online application form: 11th July 2019 (Thursday) upto 1600hrs
  • Date of start of downloading of admit card from online portal: 15th July 2019 (Monday) onwards
  • Date of Exam: Law entrance test: 23rd July 2019 (Tuesday) (1030 hrs to 1230 hrs)

 

No. of Seats:

  • Total no. of seats allotted by Bar Council of India is 120 (Two units of 60 each)

 

Eligibility Criteria for Govt. Law Colleges Law Entrance Test (LET) 2019

  • Any candidate who has completed his/her graduation or has appeared the final examination of his/her graduation (the result of which is likely to be declared before the selection of candidates) from any of the recognized Indian Universities is eligible to appear the Law Entrance Test (LET).
  • A candidate should have the following minimum aggregate percentage in Degree level examinations (Graduation) for admission into legal education in addition to qualifying in the LET:
    • General Candidate: 45%
    • OBC  Candidate: 42%
    • Sc/ST Candidate (including APST): 40%

Categories of Candidates:

  • On fulfilling the eligibility as mentioned above, the candidates shall be placed in the following two categories depending on the criteria as mentioned against each:
    • Category-1: All the APST candidates
    • Category-2: All the Non- APST candidates

Syllabus for the examination:

The syllabus of the LET of LLB will be as under:

  • 50% questions of basic legal education
  • 30% questions of General Knowledge
  • 20% questions of Basic English

Exam Pattern:

  • Legal Education: 200 marks
  • General Knowledge: 120 marks
  • Basic English: 80 marks
  • Total: 400 marks
  • Duration of exam: 2 hours

Examination Centre:

  • Examination on the scheduled and notified dates shall be conducted at various Centres at Itanagar depending on the number of applicants.

Selection Process

  • The selection will be based on the basis of the category wise merit in the LET and as per the reservation policy of the State Govt.

 

Govt. Law Colleges Law Entrance Test (LET) 2019 Application Process

  • Application is to be submitted online through official website www.apdhte.nic.in
  • The date of counseling cum admission shall be accordingly notified in due course of time
  • At the time of counseling cum admission, the candidates will have to produce the following documents:
    • Pass certificate of the qualifying examination
    • Mark sheet of the qualifying examination
    • College Leaving/ Transfer Certificates
    • Class X Pass Certificate for verification of age
    • Class XII Pass Certificate
    • Character/ Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended
    • Migration Certificate (from Universities other than RGU)
    • SC/ST/ OBC Certificate
    • Parents’ Employing Certificate from the appointing authority or domicile certificate issued by first Class Magistrate during 2019
    • Permanent Residential Certificate
    • Medical Fitness Certificate
    • Admit card of LET-2019
    • Recent Passport Photos Printed with name and date
