Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) invites online applications for the Computer-based Entrance Examination  to be held on April 15, 2020 for Admission to LL.B Three Year Course for academic session 2020-21 Government and Self-financing Law Colleges of Kerala.

Eligibility Criteria for CEE Kerala LLB Admission 2020


Applicant should be an Indian Citizen

Academic Qualifications

Candidates seeking admission to the course should be a graduate in any faculty of any University in Kerala or of any other Universities, recognised by any of the Universities in Kerala as equivalent thereto.

A candidate who has passed the Bachelor’s Degree examination with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate (i.e., 45% marks for all the parts of the Degree Examination taken together) shall alone be eligible for admission to the 3-year LL.B course.

However, candidates belonging to the Socially and Educationally Backward Classes need only 42% marks and those belonging to the Scheduled castes/Scheduled Tribes need only 40% marks in the qualifying examination. No rounding off of percentage of marks to the nearest higher integer is permitted. Applicants who have obtained the first-degree certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence methods shall also be considered as eligible for admission.

The applicants who have obtained graduation/post-graduation through open universities system directly without having any basic qualification for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission.

Candidates who are appearing/ appeared for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only if they produce the Pass Certificate and Mark List of the qualifying examination at the time of admission.


There is no lower age limit for admission to the 3-year LL.B course. The upper age limit for admission to the Three year LLB Course will be subject to the decision of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India.

In case if age restriction under clause 28 of Legal Education Rules, 2008 of Bar Council of India is reinstated, only those candidates within the stipulated age limit will be allowed to appear for the Entrance Examination.

Qualifying Standards in the Entrance Exam

To qualify in the Entrance Examination, and thereby figure in the rank list, a General/SEBC category applicant should secure a minimum of 10% of the total marks in the Entrance Examination whereas a candidate belonging to SC/ST category should get a minimum of 5% of the total marks.

The candidates registered for the Entrance Examination can download their Admit Cards from the website from 18.04.2020 onwards.

The admit card thus obtained should be brought to the examination hall along with registered ID proof.
