UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2019 - UP Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Pashu Chikitsa Vigyan Vishwavidyalaya Evam Go-Anusandhan Sansthan (DUVASU) Mathura invites application for admission into various veterinary Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Diploma programs for the academic year 2019 DUVASU will conduct the entrance exam for admission to B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Course,   M.V.Sc/ Ph.D., and Diploma programs.


UP Veterinary Programs Offered
B.V.Sc. & A.H.    

  • 5½ years degree program as per MSVE-Regulation 2016 of Veterinary Council of India (VCI)

M.V.Sc.   

  • 4 Semesters as per Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)

Ph.D.:       

  • 6 Semesters as per Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology / Industrial Microbiology:   

  • 6 semesters

M.V.Sc. Biotechnology / M.Sc. Biotechnology:

  • 4 semesters

Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy (DVP):

  • 2 years 3 months

Diploma in Livestock Extension (DLE):  2 years

Eligibility Criteria for UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2019

B.V.Sc. & A.H. Degree Course

  • He / She should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English
  • He /she must not have less than 17 years and the maximum of 25 years age on or before the 31st December of that year of his/her admission there shall be relaxation in maximum age by five years for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes candidates.
  • A candidate under General Category for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course shall have to qualify in each of the subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination
  • Candidates seeking admission under NRI are those who have educated abroad and should have passed the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology and English up to the 12th Standard level with 50% aggregate marks in these subjects.
  • NRI candidates are not required to appear in PVT-2019, however, they must have secured minimum 50% marks in the Intermediate or equivalent examination

M.V.Sc. and PhD

  • The candidate must have passed the B.V.Sc & A.H examination from a VCI recognized college
  • For Master’s Program is a bachelor’s degree in the respective/related subjects and 6.0/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for unreserved category candidates and 5.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/PH category candidates at Bachelor’s degree level
  • For Doctoral Program is a master’s degree in respective/related subjects and OGPA of 6.5/10 or equivalent OGPA/ equivalent percentage of marks for UR category candidates and 6.0/10 or equivalent. OGPA/equivalent percentage of marks for SC/ST/PH category as per guidelines of ICAR. Conversation formula for OGPA calculation shall be of the year in which the candidates pass out

B.Sc./M.Sc./PhD (College of Biotechnology)

  • B.Sc. in Biotechnology/ Industrial Microbiology: 10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate (55% in case of SC/ST candidates) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English
  • M.Sc./M.V.Sc. Biotechnology: B.Sc. (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry)/ B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ B.Tech. (Biotech)/, B.V.Sc. & A.H. /B.Sc. (Agriculture)/B.Sc. (Fisheries). Minimum 60% marks at UG level (5% relaxation in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category)

Diploma Courses in Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension

  • He/ she has passed the qualifying examination (10+2 or intermediate from U.P. Board or equivalent) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with 50% aggregate marks for Unreserved and OBC candidates and 45% aggregate marks for SC/ST candidates or an examination equivalent to the intermediate examination of an Indian University/Board recognized by the Association of Indian Universities taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English
  • He/she has appeared in the PDET-2018 conducted by the University (DUVASU) and declared eligible based on the test result
  • He/she shall produce his/her mark sheet/certificate of Intermediate or equivalent qualifying examination at the time of counseling

 

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2019 Selection Process

B.V.Sc. & A.H.:

  • The selection of the students for admission to B.V.Sc. and A.H. degree course shall be only on the basis of his/her merit in the main PVT examination conducted by DUVASU, Mathura.
  • A candidate under General Category for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry degree course shall have to qualify in each of the subjects – English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and obtained 50% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination

M.V.Sc. and Ph.D.

  • Admission to all Post-graduate program (M.V.Sc. & Ph.D.) shall be made strictly on the basis of merit in the PG Entrance Test conducted by DUVASU, Mathura.
  • The PG Entrance Test will be held at University campus, Mathura. The minimum qualifying marks in PGET for M.V.Sc. shall be 50% for UR and OBC, and 45% for SC/ST candidates.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in PGET for Ph.D. shall be 60% for UR and OBC and 50% for SC/ST candidates

B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology /B.Sc. (Hons.) Industrial Microbiology:

  • Merit in the qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or equivalent and as per the reservation policy of the State.
  • Seats remaining vacant in reserve category (OBC, SC, ST) will be filled from the candidates of the unreserved category.
  • However, there will not be any relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks for such candidates

MSc. /MVSc. Biotechnology –

  • Merit in the qualifying examination i.e. B.Sc. (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry)/ B.Sc. (Biotechnology)/ BTech. (Biotech)/, B.V.Sc. & A.H. /B.Sc. (Agriculture)/B.Sc. (Fisheries) and as per the reservation policy of the state of U.P.
  • Seats remaining vacant in reserve category (OBC, SC, ST) will be filled from candidates of the unreserved category.
  • However, there will not be any relaxation in the minimum qualifying marks for such candidates
  • Diploma Courses in Veterinary Pharmacy and Livestock Extension:
  • Admission of students to diploma program shall be made only on the basis of his/her merit in the competitive entrance examination.
  • No other merit/ weightage shall be considered for admission to diploma program

  • PDET entrance test: 28th July 2019
  • Counseling for diploma: 19th August 2019

 

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2019 Application Process

The application form can be filled ONLINE only through University Website www.upvetuniv.edu.in. The link of filling up the ONLINE Application form will be opened from February 4th, 2019 on 11.00 AM. 2. The application processing Fee of Rs. 1800/- (Non Refundable) shall be paid online through Credit/Debit Card/Net banking only.

 

UP Veterinary Entrance Exam 2019 Admit Card
