The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET-May 2019) is being conducted by Dept. of School Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in all 13 Districts of the State through a Computer Based Test

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates at the time of applying for APTET May 2019 should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications prescribed for category of I to V classes (Paper- I) and VI to VIII classes (Paper - II) separately
Candidates who are pursuing final year of any of the Teacher Education Courses recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be, during the academic year 2019 can also appear for the APTET May, 2019
Paper-I, which is conducted for Teachers eligible to teach Class I to V
Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks. However, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education) (OR)
Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in 2 - year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education. (B.El.Ed.) / 2 - year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to D.El.Ed / D.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines
Paper-II:Which is conducted for Teachers eligible to teach Class VI to VIII
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education). (OR)
B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 40%. AND pass in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidates, who have passed or admitted to B.Ed., course prior to issue of these guidelines. (OR)
4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. (OR)
Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature (OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in respect of Language Teachers

Medium of Question Paper
The Question Paper shall be bilingual (i.e.). English followed by the Language-I chosen by the candidates for all Languages except Sanskrit. For the candidates choosing Sanskrit, the questions shall be in Telugu followed by Sanskrit (Devanagari Script)

Pass Criteria in TET:
The criteria for considering pass in APTET is as follows:
a) OC 60% Marks and above
b) BC 50% Marks and above
c) SC 40% Marks and above
d) ST 40% Marks and above
e) Differently abled (PH) 40% Marks and above
The structure and content of each part of Paper-I, Paper-II(A) of the 7th APTET-2018, and the breakup of the total 150 marks among various parts of the paper are given in the Information Bulletin

Application Process

Candidates can apply online through aptet.cgg.gov.in
The fee towards submission of application online and for the conduct of computer-based exam is Rs.500/- for each Paper-I, Paper-II (A) & (B) separately
Candidates shall pay the fee through payment Gateway from May 2019 and submit online application at the APTET website https://cse.ap.gov.in from May 2019
If the candidate desires to apply for all papers he/she has to pay Rs.500/- for each paper separately

Candidates can submit their applications online from May 2019
