University of Hyderabad PG Diploma Program Admission 2016

Applications are invited from eligible graduate candidates for admission to the following Post Graduate Diploma Programmes of one-year duration offered through Distance Education mode for the year 2016. The notification for University of Hyderabad Distance Education PG Diploma Admission 2016 has been announced.

Courses Offered

Distance Education Diploma Programmes and Eligibility

1. Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management (PGDPM): Any graduate from a recognized university
2. Post Graduate Diploma in Library Automation and Networking (PGDLAN): Any graduate in Library Science from a recognized university
3. Post Graduate Diploma in Cyber Laws and Intellectual Property Rights (PGDCL and IPR): Any graduate from a recognized university
4. Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM): Any graduate from a recognized university
5. Post Graduate Diploma in Communicative English (PGDCE): Any graduate from a recognized university
6. Post Graduate Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science (PGDCJ and FS): Any graduate from a recognized university
7. Post Graduate Diploma in Governance (PGDG): Any graduate from a recognized university
8. Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights (PGDHR): Any graduate from a recognized university
9. Post Graduate Diploma in Translation Studies in Hindi (PGDTSH): Any graduate with Hindi as one of the subjects from a recognized university
10. Post Graduate Diploma in Telecommunications (PGDTC): Any graduate with Maths and Physics or Electronics as subjects from a recognized university
11 .Post-Graduate Diploma in Chemical Analysis & Quality Management (PGDCAQM): Any graduate with Chemistry as one of the subjects from a recognized University
12. Post Graduate Diploma in Medicinal Botany (PGDMB): Any graduate from a recognized university
13. Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Management in Agriculture (PGDTMA): Any graduate from a recognized university with two years experience

Eligibility Criteria

Admissions to the Distance Education PG Diploma Programmes are open to all those who fulfill prescribed qualifications without any discrimination of race, caste, creed, language, age or sex

Admissions are made strictly on the basis of merit. The marks obtained by the applicants in their graduate exam (i.e., BA/B.Sc/B.Com/B.Lib.Sc/BE/ B.Tech/MA/M.Sc/M.Com/MBA) is the basis on which the merit list for admission is prepared for all courses

Therefore, only students who have completed their courses/degree or at least have taken their final exams (awaiting results) are eligible to apply for admission into these post-graduate diploma programs

However, additional academic qualifications and professional experience are taken into consideration for all admissions (for courses to be offered in 2016 only students who are graduated on or before 31st December 2015 or have taken the final exam in Sept./Oct. 2015 and are waiting for results are eligible to apply)

The eligibility of students passing their qualifying exams from universities following the letter grading system/cumulative grade point average (CGPA) will be determined on the basis of percentage equivalent to the letter grade/CGPA obtained by the students as per the conversion formula adopted by the university concerned

Selection Process

The candidates selected for admission will be intimated by mail/post individually under certificate of posting and also through the email (addresses if provided to the CDVL office)
The list of selected candidates will also be displayed on the notice board at the Centre for Distance and Virtual Learning

Foreign Students

Foreign students residing in India or abroad are eligible to apply for admission in the prescribed form within the stipulated date

Those who have passed the qualifying exam from universities outside India should enclose relevant certificates (marks sheets with the English version) (if they are in a different language), duly attested for admission to any program, the foreign students must have passed the qualifying exam and proficiency in English is a pre-condition for admission

Application Form

Prospectus-Cum-Application can be obtained from the office of the Centre for Distance and Virtual Learning, Golden Threshold, Nampally, Hyderabad on payment of Rs.350/- cash (including registration fee)

Further, application can also be downloaded from the university website www.uohyd.ernet.in and the filled in application along with a demand draft for Rs.300/- drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of Finance Officer, University of Hyderabad towards registration fee may be sent to the Assistant Registrar, CDVL Golden Threshold, Abids, Nampally Station Road, Hyderabad-500001

Last Date for Submission of Application Form: 31st January 2016

Note: After the payment of above fee, students will receive the study material hard copy/soft copy. If the students avails only soft copy and does not request for hard copy of the material, an amount of Rs.2000/- will be reduced from the total fee for all courses and Rs.3000/- for PGDBM Program

The PGDHR Students have to pay Rs.200/- towards cost of a special issue of “the Journal of Human Rights” along with 2nd term fee
