Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala Course Commencing in 2014-15 Executive (Hydro/ General Service) (including 06 vacancies reserved for NCC ‘C certificate holders (Naval Wing) – 40 vacancies
Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course commencing in April 2015 Officers Training Academy, Chennai, 101st SSC Course (for Men) commencing in January 2015 – 175 vacancies
Officers Training Academy, Chennai 15th SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course commencing in, 2015 – 12 vacancies
Since women candidates are eligible for OTA only, they should give OTA as their first and only preference
If a male candidate is competing for Short Service Commission (Army) only, he should indicate OTA as the one and only choice
However, a male candidate competing for short service commission course at OTA as well as permanent commission course at IMA, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy should indicate OTA as his last preference; otherwise OTA will be deemed to be the last choice even if it is given a higher preference by the candidate

Unmarried male born not earlier than 2nd January 1991 and not later than 1st January 1996 to be eligible for Indian Military Academy (IMA)
Age Requirements for Naval Academy is from born not earlier than 2nd January 1991 and not later than 1st January 1996.
To fulfill the eligibility conditions for Air Force Academy is that you have to be born not earlier than 2nd January 1992 and not later than 1st January 1996 and for Officers Training Academy the age requirement is that you have to be born not earlier than 2nd January 1990 and not later than 1st January 1996
Officers Training Academy SSC Women – the eligibility conditions are that Unmarried women, issueless widows and issueless divorcees who have not remarried are eligible to appy and the age requirement is that you have to be born not earlier than 2nd January 1990 and not later than 1st January 1996
The minimum Educational qualifications as eligibility criteria for Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Officers Training Academy (OTA) is a Degree of a recognized University or equivalent
To be eligible for for Naval Academy you need to have a B.Sc. Degree with Physics & Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering and for Air Force Academy, you need a degree in B.Sc. with Physics and/or Mathematics or Bachelor of Engineering
Candidates appearing at the degree or equivalent examination also eligible to compete.
Such candidates will be required to submit the proof of passing the requisite qualifying examination by a date to be specified in the Commission’s Notice for the Examination.
The Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) is held twice a year in February and September. For the February 2014 examination the Official CDS (I) 2014 Exam Notification has been announced on 02nd November, 2013
Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2014
Candidates (excepting female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs 200/- (Rs two hundred only) either by depositing the money in any branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card
All Female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST are not required to pay any fee
No fee exemption is, however, available to OBC candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee
Candidates are required to apply online only using the link www.upsconline.nic.in
The applicants are advised to submit only single application, however if due to any unavoidable situation, if he/she submits another/multiple applications, then he/she must ensure that application with the higher RID (Registration ID) is complete in all respects like applicants’ details, examination centre, photograph, signature, fee etc
Candidates must ensure that their e-mail IDs given in their applications should be valid and active.
