PGCIL Recruitment 2018 – POWERGRID- PGCIL invites application for the post of Diploma Trainee (Electrical/Civil), Junior Officer Trainee (HR). Particularly, 39 vacancies are allotted for these posts in Power Grid and POSCO (Power System Operation Corporation). Eligible Candidates apply online on or before the last date 30th March 2018 at 10.00 am to 19th April 2018 till 11.59 pm

Eligibility Criteria

For Diploma Trainee (Electrical)

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST candidates

For Diploma Trainee (Civil)

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electrical & Electronics from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC (NCL)/ST candidates and pass marks for SC/ST candidates

For Junior Officer Trainee (HR)

  • Two years full time Post Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Diploma/MBA in Human Resource/ Personnel Management & Industrial Relation/ MSW (with specialization in Personnel Management & Industrial Relation) or equivalent from recognized Institute with minimum of 55% marks for GEN/OBC(NCL)/SC & Pass Marks for ST/PwD (VH – B/LV) candidates

Age Criteria (as on 19 Apr 2018)

  • For Diploma Trainee (Electrical) – Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed 27 years
  • For Diploma Trainee (Civil) – Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed 27 years
  • For Junior Officer Trainee (HR)- Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed 27 years

Age Relaxation

  • OBC-NCL – 3 years
  • SC/ ST – 05 years
  • PWD – 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen – 03 years
  • J&K Domicile/ Victims of riots – 05 years

 

Selection Procedure

  • The Selection process shall be as per the details given below
  • Diploma in Trainee (Electrical /Civil) – Written Test/Computer Based Test (100% weightage)
  • Jr. Officer Trainee (HR) – Written Test/Computer Based Test (100 % weightage) & Computer Skill Test (Qualifying in Nature)
  • Computer Based Test shall be of Objective type (each question shall have four answer options) of two hours duration consisting of two parts:
  • Part-I consists of Technical/Professional Knowledge Test with 120 questions having specific questions from respective discipline.
  • Part-II consists of Aptitude Test with 50 questions on vocabulary, verbal comprehension, quantitative aptitude, reasoning ability, data sufficiency & interpretation, numerical ability etc.
  • All questions carry equal marks (1 mark). Wrong & multiple answers would result in negative marks of ¼.

Qualifying criteria in Written Test:

  • Unreserved Vacancies – Minimum of 40% marks subject to at least 30% marks in each Part-I & Part-II separately
  • Reserved Vacancies -Minimum of 30% marks subject to at least 25% marks in each Part-I & Part-II separately
  • Qualifying Criteria in Computer Skill Test: Computer Skill Test will be qualifying in nature

Test Centres

  • The Computer Based Test shall be held at the following Test Centres:
  • Mumbai
  • Nagpur
  • Pune
  • Raipur
  • Durg/Bhilai

 

Pay Scale

  • Stipend during training period – Rs.16500/- per month
  • Basic Pay on Regularisation – Rs.16000/- in the pay-scale of Rs.16000-35500/- (IDA)
  • Service Agreement Bond – General/OBC (NCL) Candidates: Rs.50000/-, SC/ST/PwD Candidates: Rs.25000/-

 

Application Fees

  • For the post of Diploma Trainee (Civil) – Rs.300/- + Bank Charges(Rs.60/-); SC/ST/PwD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of Application Fee
