GATE 2018 is due to be held on 03rd, 04th, 10th and 11th February 2018

Candidates may apply for recruitment until 07th February 2018
Last date for the receipt of the challan form 23rd February 2018
Notification regarding Personal Interview will tentatively release on 21st May 2018
Eligibility Criteria
Apart from qualifying GATE 2018, the candidates will also have to fulfil the other eligibility criteria of the recruitment as well. The criteria for eligibility is as mentioned below:
Nationality: The candidate should be a citizen of India
Age Limit: The upper age limit for the candidates is 28 years. The relaxation on the upper age limit is:
SC/ST – 5 years
OBC-NCL – 3 years
Educational Qualification: Full-Time Engineering Graduate in Mechanical/ Electrical with minimum First Class or 60% Marks or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University/ Deemed University Or Institute recognized by AICTE.
Final year candidates may also apply but then must fulfill the eligibility criteria during final selection.
Grouping of Technical Disciplines:
(a) Mechanical – Mechanical/ Mechanical & Industrial Engineering/ Mechanical & Production Engineering/ Production Engineering/ Production Engineering & Management/ Production & Industrial Engineering

Selection Process
The GATE 2018 marks will be used for short listing of candidates for Personal Interview. Eligible candidates are first required to apply GATE 2018 exam Online on or before 05th October 2017
Candidates obtaining valid marks shall only be eligible for the next stage of selection. The marks are valid only if the candidate obtains more than or equal to the qualifying marks as fixed for the respective discipline in GATE 2018

Interested eligible candidates shall register themselves ONLINE for the GATE 2018 examination for which registration has started on 01st September 2018

Application Fee
The candidates will have to remit Rs.300/- as processing fee. The fee amount is only to be paid by General and OBC-NCL candidates. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD are exempted from fee payment. The fee amount can be paid via challan in any branch of SBI and it is given at the end of the detailed notice
Once the fee is paid, candidates will have to post the application confirmation page and receipt of challan to MDL, at the address below:
