Indian Navy SSC Recruitment 2019 – Indian Navy invites application from unmarried eligible male/female candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Executive Branch (Logistics & Law Cadre) and from unmarried eligible male candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) in Information Technology Specialization in the Indian Navy for July 2019 Course conducted at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.

Candidates must fulfil conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India. Course Commencing in July 2019.

Eligibility Criteria for Indian Navy SSC Recruitment 2019

Age Criteria

  • Logistics/ IT- Born between 02nd July 1994 and 01st January 2000 (both dates inclusive) (Male/Female)
  • SSC X (IT) – Born between 02nd July 1994 – 01st January 2000 (for Male)
  • SSC (Law)- Born between 02nd July 1992 and 01st July 1997 (both dates inclusive) (Male/Female)

Educational Qualifications for Indian Navy SSC Recruitment

  • SSC (Logistics): (i) BE/B. Tech in any discipline/ B. Architecture with First Class or (ii) MBA with First Class or (iii) B.Sc. / B.Com / B.Sc.(IT) with first class and a PG Diploma in Finance / Logistics / Supply Chain Management /Material Management or (iv) MCA / M.Sc. (IT) [Minimum Percentage of 60%]
  • SSC X (IT) – (i) B.E. /B.Tech. (Computer Science /Computer Engineering (IT) (ii) M.Sc. (Computer /IT) (iii) B.Sc. (IT) (iv) M.Tech. (Computer Science) (v) BCA/MCA)
  • SSC (Law) – Degree in Law qualifying for enrolment as an Advocate under Advocates Act 1961

Medical Standards

  • Height & Weight: Minimum height Male – 157 cm, Female – 152 cm with correlated weight as per age and height
  • Eye Sight: The minimum acceptable vision standards for distant vision is 6/60 in both eyes, correctable with glasses to 6/6 in better eye & 6/12 in worst eye; should not be colour/night blind
  • Tattoo: Permanent body tattoos are not permitted on any part of the body, however, certain concessions are permitted to candidates belonging to tribal areas communities as declared by the Govt. of India

 

Pay Scale & Promotions

  • The promotion from Sub Lieutenant to Commander is based on time scale subject to completion of mandatory courses, sea time & medical conditions. The Pay Scale and promotion criteria are as follows:
  • Sub Lieutenant (SLt) – Rs.56100-110700 Level-10 MSP – Rs.15500/-
  • Lieutenant (Lt) – Rs.61300-120900 – Level-10B MSP- Rs.15500/-
  • Lieutenant Commander (Lt Cdr) – Rs.69400-136900 Level-11 MSP-Rs.15500/-
  • Commander (Cdr) – Rs.121200-212400 Level-12A MSP- Rs.15500/-

 

Selection Procedure for Indian Navy SSC Recruitment 2019

  • The selection procedure is as follows:
  • IHQ of MoD reserves the right to shortlist applications and to fix cut off/based on percentage of marks obtained in BE/B.Tech without assigning any reason. No communication will be entertained on this account. SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bangalore/Bhopal/ Coimbatore/Visakhapatnam during Nov 2018 to Mar 2019
  • Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview on their e-mail or through SMS (provided by candidates in their application form)
  • The total duration of SSB interviews is five days consisting of two Stages – Stage I (Day one) and Stage II (Four days). Stage I test consisting of Intelligence Test, Picture Perception and Discussion test will be conducted on the first day of arrival at SSB
  • Candidates who fail to qualify in Stage I will be routed back on the same day. Stage II tests comprising of Psychological testing, Group testing and Interview will last for 04 days
  • Successful candidates will thereafter undergo Medical Exam (approx. duration 03-05 days)

 

Application Process for Indian Navy SSC Recruitment 2019

  • Candidates are to register and fill application on the recruitment website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in. Candidates can apply online from 15th September 2018 to 05th October 2018.

Online (e-Application)

  • Whilst filling up the e-application, it is advisable to keep the relevant documents readily available to enable the following:
  • Correct filling up of personal particulars. Details are to be filled up as given in the Matriculation Certificate
  • Fields such as e-mail address, mobile number are mandatory fields and need to be filled
  • All relevant documents (preferably in original) (mark-sheets as per education qualification, Date of Birth proof as per 10th or 12th, CGPA Conversion formula for BE/B. Tech) and a recent passport size colour photograph should be scanned in JPG/FIIT format for attaching the same while filling up the application. If any scanned document is not legible / readable for any reason, the application will be rejected
  • Print one copy of online application form. Candidates need to carry application form and original certificates/ documents while appearing for SSB Interview
