RRB Group D Exam could be delayed further – As per the latest update on the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group D Recruitment, the Computer based test may be delayed further. RRB is the official agency which conducts the process of official hiring for the Indian Railways in India. According to the RRB, the officials are still in the process of finalising which agency would be conducting this exam.
In the updates it has also mention that the first stage of computer-based test of RRB NTPC exam which was supposed to take place between June and September, 2019, will also be announced. The RRC had declared more than one lakh vacancies for group D posts. More than one crore applicants would be appearing for this exam.The notification of both Group D and NTPC exam were announced in March 2019. The group D exams were supposed to take place in September and October, 2019.
RRC is a recruitment agency that is responsible for conducting hiring for the Indian Railways. Similarly, RRB conducts computer based tests for Group D or Level 1 posts such as Track Maintainer and Assistants. When asked if there is a possibility that exam would be shifted to next year, the officials stated that there are still two months left to take decision. The exam would be conducted when the officials finalize the agency.
The Railway had announced seven RRC and RRB notifications in the last two years. Among these, the largest vacancy was announced for Group D posts with over one lakh vacancies. Around 1.15 crore candidates have applied for this post.
Earlier, in July the exam forms of several candidates were rejected due to various reasons. They have demanded that a fresh window to be opened in order to conduct this exam. After allowing the candidates to lodge a complaint against the rejections, the Board said that the decision regarding grievances would be ‘final and binding on candidates.’
After the exam notification was out in March this year, the Railways has not released any notification regarding this exam.
