Eligibility Criteria for Haryana Civil Service Exam 2021

Nationality

For this Examination, a candidate must be either:

• a citizen of India, or

• a subject of Nepal, or

• a subject of Bhutan, or

• a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January,1962with the intention of permanently settling in India, or

• a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma,

• Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

• Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts / Science / Commerce or equivalent from a recognized Board / University / Institute. Candidates will be able to check the post wise qualification details once the recruitment notification is released on HPSC website.

Age Limit

• The candidate (except for the post of DSP) should not be less than 18 years and not more than 42 years of age, on or before 01.01.2021

• For the post of DSP, a candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 27 years of age on or before 01.01.2021.

The relaxation in maximum age for various categories is available as under:

Haryana Civil Service Exam 2021 Application Process

• Candidates are required to apply online on the website http://hpsc.gov.in/enus/

• Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website. No other means / mode of submission of application will be accepted.

• LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: The online Applications can be submitted up to 02.04.2021 till 11:55 PM.

• The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card well before the commencement of the Exam.

• The e-Admit Card will be made available on the website http://hpsc.gov.in/en-us/ for downloading by the candidates.

• No Admit Card will be sent by post

Application Fee

• Male candidates of General category including Dependent Son of Ex-Servicemen of Haryana (DESM) – Rs. 1000/-

• For Male candidates of General and all reserved categories of other States- Rs. 1000/-

• For all Female candidates of General category including Female Dependent of ESM of Haryana only/For Female candidates of General and all reserved categories of other States – Rs. 250/-

• For Male & Female candidates of SC / BC-A / BC-B /ESM and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) categories of Haryana only – Rs. 250/-

• For all Persons with Disabilities category candidates (with at least 40% disability) of Haryana only – Nil

Selection Process

• The final selection shall be based on the merit list to be prepared on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates in the Main Written Examination and Viva-voce/ Personality Test i.e. out of 675 marks, and keeping in view the preference of services/ posts exercised by the candidates.
