Recruitment of 300 Administrative Officers (Scale-I) in the OICL

The Oriental Insurance Company Limited., a leading Public Sector General Insurance Company & wholly owned by Government of India, invites applications for recruitment of 300 (Three Hundred) Officers in Scale I cadre from open market

Educational Qualification (as on 31 July 2017):

Candidates must possess the minimum qualification as mentioned below from a recognized University or any equivalent qualification recognized as such by Central Govt. Candidates should possess certificate in proof of passing the qualifying examination as on 31 July 2017

Generalist: Graduate in any stream with 55% for SC/ST and 60% for Others from a recognized University

Accounts: M. Com with 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University or; Chartered Accountants (ICAI) or; Cost and Management Accountant (The Institute of Cost Accountants of India) earlier known as Cost and Wok Accountants (ICWAI) or; MBA (Finance) with 55% for SC/ST and 60% for Others from a recognized University

Actuaries: Graduate with 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others in any discipline from a recognized university and; has passed four Actuarial Papers from Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) or Institute and Faculty of Actuary, UK (IFoA)

Engineers (Automobile): Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in engineering (4 or 5 Years) with automobile engineering as a subject, with 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University

Legal: Graduate in Law with 55% for SC/ST and 60% for others from a recognized University

Medical Officer: M.B.B.S

Age as on 31 July 2017

Minimum Age: 21 years Maximum Age: 30 years, as on 31st July 2017 i.e. a candidate must have been born not earlier than 01st August 1987 and not later than 31st July 1996 (both dates inclusive)

Relaxation in upper age limit is available as per the government norms

Selection Procedure

As per the recruitment official notification, the selection of candidates will have three stages:

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination

Preliminary Examination consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1 hour duration consisting of 3 sections as follows:

1. English language Objective 30 Max Marks; Version: English

2. Reasoning Ability Objective 35 Max Marks; Version: English/Hindi

3. Quantitative Aptitude Objective 35 Max Marks; Version: English/Hindi

Total 100 Max Marks; Duration: 01 Hour

Phase-II: Main Examination

Main Examination will consist of Objective Tests for 200 marks and Descriptive Test for 30 marks. Both the Objective and Descriptive Tests will be online. Candidates will have to answer Descriptive Test by typing on the computer. Immediately after completion of Objective Test, Descriptive Test will be administered

(i) Objective Test: The Objective Test of 2 hours duration consists of 4 sections (Generalists) and 5 sections (Specialists) for total 200 marks

Phase-III: Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted at the end of Phase-II will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Company, up to three times the number of vacancies of respective stream/category. Interview will be conducted at select centres

The weightage (ratio) of online Examination and Interview will be 80:20 respectively

Final Selection

Final selection would be based on consolidated marks of main examination (objective test) & Interview. The final merit list shall be prepared in descending order of the consolidated marks secured by the candidates.

Application Fee

For General/OBC Category: Candidate should have pay application fee of Rs. 600/-

For SC/ ST & PWD Category: Candidate should have pay application fee of Rs. 100/-

Pay Scale

After selection candidate will be paid a basic amount or salary for Oriental Insurance Company Administrative Officer Jobs.
