HPCL Recruitment through GATE 2018 has been announced. The recruitment is open for the post of Officers (Engineers)

The candidates withholding B. Tech/B.E degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation, and Chemical may apply for the recruitment if they are appearing for GATE

It recruits Engineers for Officers post on the basis of GATE Score every year. All the detail required to complete application procedure is given below.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates will have to mandatorily fulfill the eligibility criteria of HPCL Recruitment through GATE 2018. The requirements for eligibility are as below:

Nationality: The aspirant must be a citizen of India.

Age Limit

The limit of the upper age limit for HPCL recruitment via GATE 2018 is 25 years. This is as on 30th June 2018

The relaxation for SC, ST candidates is 3 years and the same for the candidates belonging to OBC (NCL), PWD (UR) and PWD (OBC-NCL) is 10, 13, and 15 years, respectively

Eligibility Qualification

Candidates should have passed qualifying degree examinations and awarded bachelor’s degree in engineering/technology in the above mentioned disciplines

Applicant must possess 4 years full Graduate Engineering Degree with 60% Marks and 50% Marks for SC/ST/PWD Category in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation and Chemical

All the qualifications should be 4 years full time regular course/s from AICTE approved/UGC recognized University/Deemed University. The courses offered by Autonomous Institutions should be equivalent to the relevant courses approved/recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU)/UGC/AICTE

Candidates (belonging to General and OBC-NC category) should have secured minimum 60% marks (aggregate marks of all semesters) in qualifying degree examinations, relaxed to 50% (aggregate marks of all semesters) for SC/ST/PWD candidates

Candidates currently in final year of their engineering studies may also apply. However, if selected, they must be in a position to submit their final mark sheet by 31st August 2018

Medical Criteria: The selected candidates will have to be fit as per the norms of the PSU

Selection Process

Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in GATE 2018. The shortlisted candidates will be further called for the tools/test. The details process will be announced in due course of time. However, things to be noted by the candidates are as below:

Candidates appearing in different GATE paper other than that of their Qualifying Engineering discipline will not be considered for further selection procedure. i.e. If a candidate with Engineering in Mechanical, appears for CIVIL paper in GATE 2018, his /her candidature will not be considered for further short listing

On the basis of valid GATE 2018 marks, qualified candidates will be called for further selection process in a predetermined ratio in order of the category-wise discipline wise merit list

Selected candidates shall have all-India transfer liability

Application Process

The GATE qualifiers will have to apply online in January 2018. The form will be available at www.hindustanpetroleum.com and the link to check it will also be provided on this page. The candidates will first have to submit GATE Registration Number and few personal details

Once all the details are submitted, they will get a 12 digit application number. Next, the candidates will have to submit the application fee

The amount of fee to be submitted is Rs.275/-, which Rs.100/- more than the last years. It should also be noted that the SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from fee payment

Uploading of Images

The candidates will also have to upload images of photograph and signature in the application form. The specification for these are as below:

Photograph - in jpg / gif > less than 50 kb

Resume - in doc / docx > maximum file size 200kb

Mode to Submit Application Fee

The candidates submit the fee amount online and offline. The online payment can be done via Debit and Credit Card. However, to make the offline payment, the candidates will have to download  SBI challan form after two from submitting the application

Then remit the application fee amount at any branch of SBI, in name of HPCL Powerjyoti A/C Number 32315049001

In case payment status is not updated within 3-4 working days then kindly send the scanned copy of paid challan to [email protected]

Online Submission of Applications commences from: 01st September 2017

Closing of Online Submission of Application: 05th October 2017

GATE 2018 Admit Card: 05th January 2018

GATE 2018 Exam Date: 03rd, 04th, 10th & 11th February 2018

Declaration of the Result: 17th March 2018
