The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination announces Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2020 for admission to Bachelor of Engineering & Technology (B.E. and B.Tech) courses in various Govt. & Private Colleges for the academic session 2020.

Board of Professional Entrance Examination will conduct the JKCET 2020 on the 26th April 2020. Online Applications are invited from residents of the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh on or before March 31, 2020 with a fee of Rs. 1200/-

Eligibility Criteria for JKCET 2020

Nationality

A Candidate applying for the JKCET must be a permanent resident of the Jammu and Kashmir

Age Limit

Candidate applying for the JKCET 2020 must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31st, 2020

Qualification

(i)

Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as elective subjects.

(ii)

Minimum marks obtained by the candidate must be 50% in case of open merit category.

(iii)

SC /ST candidates or any other socially or educationally backward classes including RBS, ALC and OSC have a 10% relaxation in the minimum marks in 10+2 level that is the minimum marks for the reserved category is 40%.

Marking Scheme

The scheme for marking in the JKCET 2020 is as follows

(a)

+1 marks for each correct answers marked

(b)

-0.25 marks for each incorrect answer marked
