Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination announces Common Entrance Test (JKCET) for Admission to B.E and B.Tech Program

JKCET 2021 - The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination has announced Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2021 for admission to Bachelor of Engineering & Technology (B.E. and B.Tech) Courses in various Govt. & Private Colleges for the academic session 2021.

Online Applications are invited from residents of the Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh from March 10, to March 29, 2021 with a fee of Rs. 1200/-

JKCET 2021 Important Dates

  • Releasing date for JKCET 2021 Application Form - 14th March 2021
  • Last date for submission of JKCET Application Form - May 10, 2021 extended till May 20, 2021
  • JKCET 2021 Exam Date -By end of June 2021
  • Date of Declaration of Result - To be notified separately

 

Eligibility Criteria for JKCET 2021

Nationality

  • A Candidate applying for the JKCET must be a permanent resident of the Jammu and Kashmir

Age Limit

  • Candidate applying for the JKCET 2021 must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31st, 2021

Qualification

(i) Candidates must have passed the 10+2 or its equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as elective subjects.

(ii) Minimum marks obtained by the candidate must be 50% in case of open merit category.

(iii) SC /ST candidates or any other socially or educationally backward classes including RBS, ALC and OSC have a 10% relaxation in the minimum marks in 10+2 level that is the minimum marks for the reserved category is 40%.

 

JKCET 2021 Application Process

  • Before applying for the exam candidates must check their eligibility. The candidates can download admission notification, Brochure, instructions and all other relevant information from the official website of the BOPEE.
  • Candidates can apply online only through the official website www.jakbopee.org
  • The process to apply for JKCET 2021 comprises of four steps -

Step 1- Fill in details in JKCET 2021 online Application Form

Step 2 - Pay the Application Fee

Step 3 - pload Documents

Step 4 - Take a print out of the Application Form

Application Fee

  • All category candidates will have to pay an application fee of Rs.1200/-

JKCET 2021 Exam Pattern

  • Candidates aspiring admissions through the JKCET must know the exam pattern for the same
  • Mode of Examination - Pen and Paper Based Test (Offline)
  • Type of Questions - Objective type (MCQ)
  • Total Time Allotted - 3 hours
  • Total Number of Questions - 180 divided equally into all the sections
  • Number of Sections - 3
  • Difficulty Standards - as for a 10+2 qualified candidate

Marking Scheme

The scheme for marking in the JKCET 2021 is as follows

(a) +1 marks for each correct answers marked

(b) -0.25 marks for each incorrect answer marked

 

JKCET 2021 Syllabus

  • The syllabus of JKCET will include the familiar topics that the candidate had studied in class 11th and 12th.
  • A detailed structure of syllabus for all the subjects is given on the website www.jakbopee.org / www.jkbopee.gov.in

 

JKCET 2021 Admit Card

  • The Board will issue the admit card for JKCET 2021 to all those candidates who successfully submit the application form. The admit card will be available online on the official website only.
  • Candidates are suggested to take multiple printouts of the admit card after downloading it from the website. In case a candidate forgets to carry his/her admit card to the examination centers they will not be allowed to take the test under any circumstances.
