SBI Clerk Recruitment 2018 - Selection Procedure for Jr. Associates Clerical Cadre

 

SBI Clerk Recruitment 2018 selection process :State Bank of India (SBI) issued SBI Clerk Recruitment 2018 - Selection Procedure for the recruitment of 8301 Jr. Associates (Customer Support & Sales) in Clerical Cadre for all the States and UTs including 7200 Regular Jr Associate Posts and 1101 Backlog Jr. Associate Vacancies.

 

The SBI Clerk Recruitment 2018 - Selection Procedure:  will consist of online test (preliminary & main examination) and test of specified opted local language

 

SBI Clerk Recruitment 2018 - Selection Procedure

 

Stage -I

Preliminary Exam: Preliminary Examination (Online) consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of one-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

  1. English Language 30 No. of Questions; 30 Marks and 20 Minutes
  2. Numerical Ability 35 No. of Questions; 35 Marks and 20 Minutes
  3. Reasoning Ability 35 No. of Questions; 35 Marks and 20 Minutes

Total 100 No. of Questions; 100 Marks

Duration: 1 Hour

Stage-II

Main Exam:

The Structure of Main examination (online objective type) would be as follows:

  1. General / Financial Awareness: 50 Questions & 50 Marks
  2. General English: 40 Questions & 40 Marks

iii. Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions & 50 Marks

  1. Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude: 50 Questions & 60 Marks

Total: 190 Questions & 200 Marks

Duration: 2 Hours & 40 minutes

The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e. English & Hindi. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Test of specified opted local language: Those who qualify for selection & produce 10th & 12th standard mark sheet certificate evidencing having studied opted local language will not be subjected to any Language test.

Stage 3 - Test of knowledge of official/ local language in SBI Clerk 2018

Candidates in addition to the prelims and mains exam will have to produce 10th standard mark sheet/certificate showing that they have studied official (local) language. Such candidates will not be subjected to a language test. Those candidates who are unable to produce a certificate will have to qualify a language test will be conducted before final selection. Candidates not found to be proficient in official and/or local language would be disqualified.

Stage 4: Selection Procedure for SBI Clerk 2018

SBI will prepare a final merit of all the qualified candidates. Marks secured by the candidates in the preliminary exam will not be counted as it is qualifying in nature and the merit list will be based on candidate’s scores in the mains exam. Candidates who stand sufficiently high in the merit will be provided an appointment.

 

Pre-Exam Training

SBI may arrange pre-examination training at certain centres for SC/ST/XS/Religious Minority Community candidates in consonance with the guidelines issued by Govt. of India
