SBI changes Bank PO Main exam pattern

State Bank of India has changed the pattern for the SBIPO main exam. Although SBI has not made any changes in the pattern of Preliminary exam, several changes can be seen in the upcoming main exam.  The main exam consists of both the objective and the descriptive tests. The objective tests will consist of 4 sections with separate time allotted to every section. Both the objective and the descriptive tests will be conducted online.  The descriptive test will be administered immediately after the objective test is over.


The new exam pattern for the SBI PO main exam is given as under:

1.       The objective test will consists of 4 sections of total 200 marks and duration 3 hours.

2.       All the sections have been allotted different number of questions and separate timings.

3.       The descriptive test will be a test of English language (Essay and Letter writing) of 25 marks to be completed in 30 minutes.

4.       The candidates are required to qualify in each test by scoring a minimum of passing marks to be decided by the SBI.

The distribution of marks, questions and time for the objective paper is given in the following table:
