UBI Recruitment 2016 for Probationary Officer in JMG Scale I through PGDBF
United Bank of India, Kolkata has published notification for the recruitment of 100 Probationary Officer vacancies in JMG Scale I. Eligible candidates may apply online from 28th June 2016 to 12th July 2016.
All those who successfully complete the course shall be awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Banking and Finance and appointed as Probationary Officer (PO - Scale I) in United Bank of India.

Emoluments of Probationary Officer in Junior Management Grade/Scale-I are presently in the scale of Rs 23700-980×7/30560-1145×2/32850-1310×7/42020/-
They will also be eligible for DA, HRA & CCA, as per rules in force from time to time. At present, total initial package including salary, perquisites and other cost to company will be around Rs.6.50 lakh per annum.

A candidate must be either (i) a citizen of India or (ii) a subject of Nepal or (iii) a subject of Bhutan or (iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 01st Jan 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) and (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Govt. of India.
A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Exam/interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Govt. of India.
Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be 21 - 30 years as on 01st June 2016 (Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02nd June 1986 and not later than 01st June 1995). Age relaxation will be applicable by 05 years for SC/ ST, Ex- Servicemen, 03 years for PBC & 10 years for PH candidates.
The selection will be made on the basis of performance in Online Test, Personal Interview and/or GD. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for written test & interview.
The details of the written test shall be communicated to the candidates in advance. The Written Test will be Objective type.
a) Reasoning Ability - 50 Questions; 50 Marks (Version of Test - English & Hindi, 2 hours)
b) Quantitative Aptitude - 50 Questions; 50 Marks (Version of Test - English & Hindi, 2 hours)
c) English Language - 50 Questions; 50 Marks (Version of Test - English & Hindi, 2 hours)
General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) - 50 Questions; 50 Marks (Version of Test - English & Hindi, 2 hours)
Total No. of Questions / Marks - 200
Candidates qualifying in the online test will be shortlisted and called for Personal Interview / Group
Discussion subject to the number of intake in each category. The Personal Interview may be conducted through video conferencing.
Candidates should pay Rs.150/- for SC/ ST/ PWD candidates and Rs.700/- for all others through online by using Debit Cards (RuPay/ Visa/ Master Card/ Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets.

Candidates are advised to go to the Bank’s Website www.unitedbankofindia.com and click on the ‘RECRUITMENT’ to open the link "Online application for Admissions to PGDBF Course" and then click on the option "APPLY ONLINE" which will open a new screen
To register application, choose the tab “Click here for New Registration” and enter Name, Contact details and e-mail id. A Provisional Registration Number and Password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the Provisional Registration Number and Password.
