As you may be aware that IBPS CWE Clerical Exam is designed to select candidates for clerical level jobs in nationalised banks all across India except State Bank of India.

IBPS CWE Clerical VI recruitment 2016 Examination pattern

A Common Written Examination (CWE) is conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) as a prerequisite for selection of personnel for Clerical cadre posts in Public Sector Banks.

What is the Exam Structure for Online IBPS CWE Clerical Exam?

The Online IBPS CWE (common written examination) Clerical Exam is conducted online that consists of five different sections that are Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Ability, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) and Computer Knowledge.

This year the IBPS CWE 2016 examination will consist of two stages first preliminary and then the main examination.  The pattern of preliminary and main examination will be different. Here is the exam pattern of IBPS CWE Clerical VI 2016 examination.

Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for online main examination.

The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi 

Candidates have to qualify in all the tests by securing cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS. Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by IBPS depending upon requirements will be shortlisted for online main examination.

Penalty for Wrong Answers

Candidates should be careful while marking answers because there will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. 

Candidates marking wrong answer will be deducted one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question as penalty to arrive at corrected score. And, if any question is left blank (i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate), there will be no penalty for that question. 

CWE Clerical Exam Scores 

Candidates who obtain corrected scores in different sessions (if held) will be normalizsed using equipercentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculations.

What is the Cutoff Score for IBPS CWE Clerical?

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main Examination and also a minimum total score to be considered for further process. Depending on number of the State/ UT wise vacancies available, cut-offs will be decided and candidates will be considered for provisional allotment. Prior to the completion of provisional allotment process scores obtained in the Online Main Examination will not be shared with the candidates.
