The online common written examination CWE includes a paper that consists of five different sections that are Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) and Computer Knowledge

The duration for completion of the examination is 2 hours. The division of questions/ marks for each section is as follow:

(i) Reasoning - 50 (Maximum of Marks)

(ii) English Language - 40 (Maximum of Marks)

(iii) Quantitative Aptitude - 50 (Maximum of Marks)

(iv) General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry) - 40 (Maximum of Marks)

(v) Computer Knowledge - 20 (Maximum of Marks)

The above tests except the Test of English Language will be available bilingually, i.e. English and Hindi

Penalty for Wrong Answers

There will be penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests

For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score

If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate there will be no penalty for that question

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test / section and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for the next round - Interview.

Scores

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using equip percentile method.

Cutoff Score

Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test and also a minimum total score to be considered to be shortlisted for interview

Depending on the number of vacancies available, cutoffs will be decided and candidates will be shortlisted for interview

Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online exam will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview

Next step after the CWE - Online Examination

Interview

Candidates who have been shortlisted in the examination for CWE PO/MT-V will subsequently be called for an Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organizations and coordinated by the Nodal Bank in each State / UT with the help of IBPS

Interviews will be conducted at select centres

The centre, address of the venue, time & date of Interview will be informed to the shortlisted candidates in the call letter

Candidates are required to download their interview call letters from authorised IBPS website www.ibps.in

The total marks allotted for Interview are 100. The minimum qualifying marks in interview will not be less than 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates). The weightage (ratio) of CWE (exam) and interview will be 80:20 respectively.

The combined final score of candidates shall be arrived at on the basis of scores obtained by the candidates in CWE PO/MT-V and Interview

A candidate should qualify both in the CWE and interview and be sufficiently high in the merit to be shortlisted for subsequent provisional allotment process, details of which will be made available subsequently on IBPS website (www.ibps.in)
