Social Reservation
- 3% seats are reserved for Physically handicapped Students
- 5% Seats are reserved for Defense Personnel’s child/Ex-Serviceman Child.
- Subject to availability, 3% of the seats over and above the approved intake capacity shall be reserved for the students participating at the national level/state level/university level sports and cultural competitions
- One Migrant student from Jammu & Kashmir, per course over and above the sanctioned intake capacity will be admitted as per the merit in the entrance test.
- 15 % seats over and above the intake capacity for foreign students
Selection Process
- Students graduating from the colleges affiliated to the Savitribai Phule Pune University:
- 50 % weightage will be given to the performance at the Entrance Examination
- 50 % weightage will be given to the total marks obtained in qualifying examination
- Students graduating from any Indian Statutory Universities other than Pune University:
- The merit criterion will be based exclusively on their performance in the Entrance Examination.
Exam Pattern
- The examination is to evaluate the reading, comprehension, interpretative, analytical and writing skills of the student along with basic knowledge of Anthropology and allied fields.
- The examination will also evaluate the students interest in the field of Anthropology
- Number and names of sections in Question paper- 2 Sections
- Section 1: Objective questions - 30
- Section 2: Long answer Question – 1; Short answer questions - 2
- Section wise weightage of marks:
- Section 1 - 30 Marks
- Section 2 - 20 Marks

- Objectives 30
- Long answer Question - 1
- Short answer questions - 2
- Marks per question
- Objectives: 1 Mark per question, no negative marking
- Long answer Question – 10 Marks
- Short answer questions – 5 Marks per question
