University of Delhi announces admissions to various undergraduate courses (Entrance Based) for all colleges for the academic session 2017-18. The online registration will start from June 16, 2017

DU UG entrance based Admissions 2017  Eligibility Criteria

 

Qualification Exams: Qualifying examinations for the purpose of admission to the first year undergraduate programmes offered by the University of Delhi shall be Senior Secondary School Certificate Exam (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or an exam recognized as equivalent thereto.

Applicants seeking admission to the programmes/courses offered by the University should have passed the qualifying examination obtaining minimum marks as specified for each of the programmes/courses in subsequent sections

 

Age Recruitment

As per Ordinance-I of the University, there is no minimum age bar for admission to the under-graduate and post-graduate programs in the University and its college except in the programs where the respective regulatory bodies, such as MCI, AICTE, BCI, NCTE, Dental Council of India (DCI) etc have prescribed the minimum age requirements in their regulations

 

Programs/Courses-wise Requirements:
Minimum requirements for the students who have passed the qualifying exams and are seeking admission in regular colleges to various programmes based on entrance exam are summarized below.

B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics, BMS - Bachelor in Management Studies, BBA (FIA) - Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis

Minimum Percentage Required: Aggregate of 60% marks in the qualifying examination based on a simple average of the percentage scored in four subjects: one language English, Mathematics and any two other subjects included

B.Tech (Information Technology and Mathematical Innovation)

Minimum Required: An aggregate of 60% marks in four subjects (including Mathematics) in the qualifying examination

B.A. (Hons) Humanities and Social Sciences

Minimum Percentage Required: An aggregate of 60% marks in four subjects in the qualifying examination

Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)

Minimum Required: An aggregate of 50% marks in the qualifying examination as well as 50% marks in each of the four subjects; the criteria for selecting the four subjects can be:
One subject from List I and three from List II or One subject from List I, two from List II and one from List II

Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, Health Education and Sports (B.Sc.[P.E.H.E.&S.)

Minimum Required: An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination/determined on the basis of one language and three best subjects

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Multimedia and Mass Communication

Minimum Required: An aggregate of 75% marks in the best four (including 85% in English) of the qualifying examination

Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Hindustani Music-Vocal/Instrumental (Sitar/Sarod/Guitar/Violin/Santoor); Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Karnatak Music-Vocal/Instrumental (Veena/Violin), Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Percussion Music (Tabla/Pakhawaj)

Minimum Required: An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination determined on the basis of one language (core/elective), music and two more elective /academic subject

B.A. (Hons) Multi Media and Mass Communication (MMMC) - Only for Women Aspirants

Minimum Required: General category applications should have secured 75% marks in aggregate along with 85% marks in English

DU UG entrance based Admissions 2017 Application Procedure

An eligible applicant for the academic session 2017-18 must familiarize themselves with the contents of this Bulletin of Information

Changes made in any Program/Course after the release of this Bulletin shall become effective from the date it is posted on Undergraduate (UG) Entrance Based Admission portal https://ug.du.ac.in/app/

University reserves the rights to revise, amend, update, or delete any part of this Bulletin without giving any prior notice. Any change so made shall be updated on the UG Entrance Based Admission portal

Applicants are responsible for regularly checking the portal for any updates

Candidates have to logging into the website www.du.ac.in for online registration. Candidates can fill Delhi University Admission Form from as per the schedule

Online Registration

The admissions to various colleges of the University of Delhi are based either on merit or entrance. Applicants seeking admission to UG merit based programmes/courses must register on a centralized admission Web Portal

Applicants seeking admission to UG entrance test based need to apply on a separate portal for which the registration will start from 16th June 2017

As a first time user, applicant shall go to "New Applicant Sign Up" to create the user account by clicking on the "New Registration" link

Foreign nationals are advised to contact Foreign Students’ Registry Office or visit http://fsr.du.ac.in to apply for admission in the University of Delhi

There is an additional fee of Rs. 100 to apply under ECA category

Application Fee

Application Fee (non-refundable) for Undergraduate Programmes is as follows:

For UR/OBC/CW/Minority Rs.500/- (non-refundable)

For SC/ST/PwD - Rs.250/- (non-refundable)

Applications fee has to be paid during the Application Process through any one of the available online payment options; it may be noted the Application Process shall be complete only after realization of the online Application fee
