Visva Bharati Santiniketan VBS Birbhum Admissions 2018 -Applications on prescribed form are invited for admission to the following Courses of the University for the academic session 2018-19 UG PG Diploma, Adv. Diploma Certificate CFS CIS B.Ed., M.Ed. Pre-Degree M.Phil. & PhD Admission 2018

Objectives

  • The objectives of the University shall also include harmonizing the cultures of India, the East and the West by, among other things, the admission of students and appointment of adhyapakas from various regions of India and various countries of the world and by providing incentive thereof

  • Batik and Bandhni, Pottery and Ceramic (Tableware/Art Pottery/Glazing), Textile (Weaving/ Dyeing/ Printing), Leather Crafts, Woodwork (Toys/Furniture/Wood craft), Hand-made Paper Crafts
  • Duration: 4 months for short term and 9 months for integrated course

Palli Siksha Bhavana (Institute of Agriculture)

  • Two year M.Sc (Ag) courses in Agronomy, Plant Protection, Agricultural Extension, Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry and Horticulture

Eligibility Criteria

  • Details of each course, eligibility criteria etc are available in the admission kits (prospectus and application form) from the designated branches of United Bank of India and also in the university website www.visva-bharati.ac.in

Admission Test

  • There will be an All India Admission Test for all B.A. (Honours) and preparatory courses (except for 3 years Honours courses in Santali, Japanese, Tibetan and Persian under Bhasha-Bhavana), all B.Sc. (Honours) courses under Siksha-Bhavana and the B.Sc (Ag) Honours course under Palli-Siksha Bhavana at centres in the following cities
  • Santiniketan, Kolkata, Durgapur, Kharagpur, Siliguri, Burdwan, Baharampur, Suri, Malda, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Patna, Guwahati, Allahabad, Chennai, Mumbai, New Delhi and Agartala
  • The test will be held on to be announced in the University
  • The locations of the test centers will be available in the admit card which is to be downloaded from the university website www.visva-bharati.ac.in
  • Admission tests for all other courses will be held at Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, West Bengal

Reservation

  • In each course, admission of SC/ST/OBC/PH/VH candidates will be governed as per rules of the Govt of India

  • Application fee Rs 140/- for SC/ST candidates and Rs 400/- for all other candidates
  • Prescribed application form and prospectus (admission kits) may be obtained in person from the designated branches of the United Bank of India (UBI) on payment of the requisite fee

  • Candidates would have the option to apply for the examination through online application system
  • The online application allows the candidate to provide all information and also to upload scanned photograph and signature

  • The application fee in case of an online application may be paid by any one of the following ways;
  • Candidate can make the payment online using any of the online payment methods of Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, Cash Card, payment through mobiles (a nominal TDR charge would be applicable)
  • Candidates would get Instant confirmation of their payments and submissions when they pay through online payment methods
  • In case a candidate does not have access to an online payment method he or she can deposit the required amount at any branch of United Bank of India (UBI) using a bank deposit voucher/challan into the following account; Account Name-Visva-Bharati Admission Coordination Cell; Account No-0826050005012; Bank-United Bank of India (UBI)
  • Prospective candidates are advised to visit website www.visva-bharati.ac.in at regular intervals for updates
  • Application Submission: Candidates willing to apply for more than one course/stream are advised to go through the prospectus carefully
  • Instructions for filling up the form and other details are given in the prospectus
  • Completed application forms may be submitted personally or by post or by courier service so as to reach the designated office within 10th June 2018 positively
