Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU), Jaipur invites admissions to Engineering Programmes of Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU) for the academic year 2017 shall be made on the basis of a PC-based online test or a conventional paper-and-pen based offline test, conducted by SGVU.

Suresh Gyan Vihar University is to conduct GVSAT 2017. This is an engineering entrance exam. GVSAT 2017 is looked forward to be for admissions to B. Tech, and Integrated B. Tech + M. Tech in the Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU).

Programmes Offered and Eligibility Details

This test shall be referred to as GVSAT-2017. GVSAT-2017 shall be conducted for the following undergraduate engineering programs of SGVU:

B.Tech Programme in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Information Technology, Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering , Mechatronics, Biotechnology, Agriculture
Duration: 4 years
Eligibility: 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English) with Aggregate 60%.Physics/Biology for Agriculture and Biotechnology programme
Dual Degree

B.Tech E&C + M.Tech VLSI/IC/DWCE/SE) (B.Tech Electrical + M.Tech Power System /Energy) (B.Tech Computer Science + M.Tech SE/IC/VLSI) (B.Tech Mech + M.Tech Manufacturing/Energy)
Duration: 5 years
Eligibility: 10+2 (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & English) with aggregate 60% marks JEE-MAIN/RPET
*Students appearing for 12th exam from a recognized board in the year 2016 or who have passed 12th exam in earlier years with minimum qualifying percentage mentioned above, are eligible to appear in the GVSAT-2017

Syllabus

GVSAT-2017 test will be conducted on the basis of NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class. Candidates may refer to the NCERT textbooks for the contents. The detailed syllabus is available on the website

Exam Pattern

All questions are of objective type (multiple-choice questions); each question with a choice of four answers, only one being the correct choice. Each correct answer fetches 2 marks. No marks are awarded for questions not attempted. There is no negative marking either
There will be 120 questions in all.The number of questions in each part is as follows:
(i) Physics/Biology: 30
(ii) Chemistry: 30
(iii) English Proficiency: 30
(iv) Mathematics: 30
Candidates who want to apply for Biotechnology or Agriculture can choose for Physics/Biology any one paper and Chemistry, English and Mathematics. Total No. of Questions: 200

How to Apply

Online Application Process: All new users are required to register themselves at www.gyanvihar.org by clicking the "Apply Online" button and follow these steps:

Step 1: Full name, mobile number and Email-ID have to be provided by new user; a system-generated email shall be sent instantly at the email id provided by the new user, providing him/her with his/her email id as unique username & 6 digit password and other important instructions

Step 2: Click the "Register/Login" button using the E-mail-ID & Password

Step 3: User has to select the program of his/her choice and click on "Proceed" button and complete the application form; the user can pay the fee through different payment modes

Offline Application Process: The candidates are required to download the offline Application Form from our website www.gyanvihar.org/gvsat or can be obtained from the University or different from Centres
Candidate can also fill the form online at our website for offline exam
Application Fee - Rs.300/-

Payment Mode

Option 1: User can pay the fee online using Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking

Option 2: Option 2 is to be selected if the user is making the payment through bank demand draft or Challan generated and deposited at axis bank. The user is required to send a printout of the duly completed application form to the GVSAT Coordinator, Suresh Gyan Vihar University, Mahal, Jagatpura, Jaipur-302017 (Rajasthan) by speed post/registered post along with the original Demand Draft/ University challan copy, before last date

Option 3: User can also pay the fee through cash by paying the application fee at University Finance Dept.

Admit Card

The Admit card for online and offline examination will be generated on Gyan Vihar website www.gynvihar.org on give date. Candidates can download the admit card by filling registration number/name and mobile number
The Admit card will be auto-generated for only those candidates whose form is successfully submitted by post or online with required fee before the last date
