Rajiv Gandhi RGNIYD Sriperumbudur MA MSc Admission 2018- Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Sriperumbudur has invited applications for admission to Master of Arts (M.A) in Development Policy & Practice, Social Innovations & Entrepreneurship, Social Work, Local Governance & Development and Gender Studies and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Counseling Psychology Programs and three years Undergraduate Programs for 2018-19 sessions

Programs Offered

Two-Year Master's Degree Programs

  • The Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament No. 35/2012 under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India offers the following Master’sDegree Programs


Post Graduate Programs

  • M.Sc. Counselling Psychology
  • M.A. Development Policy and Practice
  • M.A. Gender Studies
  • M.A. Local Governance and Development
  • M.A. Social Innovations and Entrepreneurship
  • M.A. Social Work (Youth and Community Development)
  • The components of Youth Empowerment and Life Skills will be mandatory for all students of RGNIYD as these courses would orient the students with perspectives of adolescent and youth development


Three Years Undergraduate Programs

  • B.Voc. Apparel Manufacturing and Entrepreneurship
  • B.Voc. Fashion Design and Retail


One-Year Diploma Courses:

  • PG Diploma in Youth Development
  • Diploma in Political Leadership

Eligibility Criteria

For M.A. Programs

  • Candidates should have any Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45 percent marks (For SC/ST candidates with minimum of 40 percent marks) in any discipline from a recognised university


For M.Sc. Programs

  • Applicant should have studied a minimum of 2 papers in Psychology at the Undergraduate level
  • Candidates whose final year results are awaited can also apply


Selection Procedure

  • Admission for all the above MA/M.Sc. Programs shall be based on the qualifying marks in the undergraduate program



  • Reservation of seats as per the Government of India /UGC norms; tuition fee exempted for SC/ST students

  • Application Fee of Rs.200/- for General/OBC & Rs.100/- for SC/ST/PH candidates can be paid
  • Application form duly submitted online along with copy of the certificate including application fee should be sent "Assistant Registrar Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD), Ministry of Youth
