Eligibility Criteria for Periyar University MPhil and PhD Admission 2020

• Candidates should have Passed Master Degree with a minimum 55% of marks or an equivalent grade.

• For the candidates belonging to SC/ST community and those who have qualified for the Master’s degree before 19th September 1991 the minimum eligibility marks shall be 50% in their Master’s degree.

• The Candidates who are studying Post Graduate Programmes and cleared all papers up to III Semester are eligible to apply for MPhil/PhD Programme.

• NET/SET/GATE qualified need not apply for the Common Entrance test.

Periyar University MPhil and PhD Admission 2020 Application Process

• Interested Candidates can apply online only through  the University Website www.periyaruniversity.ac.in. and the necessary fee must be paid through online only.

• The duly filled online application printout (hard copy) along with candidate signature and required documents attachments should be sent to the Register, Periyar University, Salem – 636 011 on or before 07th August 2020

• The candidates are desirous to seek admission to be required to apply online. Only those applicants, who apply online before the last date and satisfy the eligibility criteria, will be considered for admission.  

• General all instructions regarding filling up online forms, and admission to the course are detailed before filling up the application form available on the official website.

Online through Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking.

Selection  Procedure

• Selection will be based on online Entrance exam and Interview conducted by the respective Departments.

Admit card/Hall ticket

• The Hall ticket for the entrance test can be downloaded from the University website.

• Admit card/Hall ticket  will only be released for the candidates who have submitted the application form on or before the last date. Admit card contains the important details regarding the exams like examination time, venue and instruction which candidates must follow during the examination time.
